It was my understanding that it could be adjusted with a custom tune. This was after a conversation with a Diablo rep on another forum. I may be mistaken, though. It's happened once before.
Yes, I drive it in the winter when the roads aren't too bad. It doesn't have any tuning issues but I keep 10W40 oil in it so it needs to stay in a garage for the winter.
Ack. So it needs to warm up the components. Was just wondering about the underneath stuff (assuming thats where your Turbo is) cause although no real salt on the roads except that potash stuff, I figured you must have nice tubing and such underneath that you want to keep shiny. 1Unless I'm out to lunch and your Turbo is upfront with the Motor.

I'm shifting at 5900 rpm now so really not a big deal. I think?
I really went to the DSP to get a custom tune. So I'll be good with a custom tune if indeed it keeps the engine happy and makes power on the street. excuse the babble.....
If DSP says it's coming we gotta give them a chance.
Comfirmation Question WRT my e-fan warmed up the truck today and the e-fan came on for the first time around 194 degrees. I figured thats probably OK. Question is what is a good operating Temp, albet I got a 180 Stat doesn't mean I can keep it at that temp right. Even if that where possible which I doubt in the summer, wouldn't my gas mileage suffer.
So I guess the question again is ... 195 before it comes on OK or should I allow it to go higher. The switch is slightly below the Normal notch on the switch in the middle.
VATruck you mentioned yours don't come on till 205 or something but can't find that.
I know with the clutch fan my truck would hit 210-220 on the highway in summer.

So I confirmed that if you run a 180 thermostat (MG brand) with the factory clutch fan you will in colder weather especially get P0128 CEL's as it takes to long to warm up the engine/temp guage. With the e-fan added the truck warms up within parameters and that trouble code is gone away. Can't wait till winter again (Not really) so I can get heat in the first 5 miles of driving instead of 15...we'll see.
