On the 4.7, from what I heard its worth the investment. I dont think its a one for one swap, but its close. You'll see some decent improvements

Looking at the DSP site. I see our 03's once again discriminated against with some of the features not available for our early model. Well I guess this just gives us a little more satisfaction when we smoke a later fully supported truck.

Amen bro. Exactly why I said "screw all your expert opinions" when it came time for the cam haha. I'm real happy with this group. You're a solid bunch of guys. Lets go recruit and get more. If you see anyone with an 03, PM them a link to the page where they can join. I'd like to see this group get over 50 at least

Not to turn this into a DSP thread but specifically how do 03 DSP users deal with rev limiters? Does the canned performance tunes automatically raise the rpm limits? When a custom tune is installed, can it modify the rev limiter? And equally, how is the vehicle speed restricter being adjusted or turned off. I looked at the DSP website and would have sworn there were notations stating 03 coming soon features. Now I can't find these statements. I can't believe all this modified 03's are not having rev limiters and vehicle speed restrictor removed or adjusted somehow. I got no problem with getting a custom tune, as a matter of fact it is why I went with a DSP.

DSP will do rev limiter but not speed limiter or shift points. Superchips will do rev limiter and speed limiter. Both with require manual shifting to take advantage of a higher red line. This is one reason I went turbo, not needing to spin the engine past 5700 rpm to make power.

So what I would comment on is as far as Cam choice with your DSP is that all the power required is to be made from 1500 to 5850 so that the Cam does what you need within the parameters and you won't have to worry about manual shifting, Kinda what AF is set-up with.

In my case I have to shift manualy with the SC set high to take advantage of the Cam. Not the best way to go and when I change around to DSP I will try and get all my power down low and in the middle.

FrostKing, you got the set-up with your Truck BTW. Do you Drive it in the Winter?

RedTruck, I also seen the 03's coming soon statement but not sure if it was DSP model or Trinity. I also beleive I mentioned that on one of my previous posts. I sent them an email w/questions Thurs but never heard back.
