Yep!

The best mod's to the V-10 are a cold air intake, bored throttle body ( www.thefastman.com ) Headers, and a good exhaust (Magnaflow or Gibson) I have Magnaflow.

Jimy<---I updated my issue on https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ng-v-10-a.html thread basically adding I am changing out my O2 sensors. We'll see what happens.

Anyway, B&G flash http://www.bgperformancepcm.com/ on a SCT Tuner http://www.sctflash.com/ is a great combination, however at the tune of like $799, however you can just do the B&G for cheaper, but the tuner gives you a lot more control.

Can't wait till I get back to the states. First thing I'm doing is throwing a Magnaflow on mine. Looking into what it will take to change the cam out and how much it will affect drivability.

Great, that gives me things to get started with. First up will be the 4.10 swap, then I'll start with exhaust mods and then intake I guess.

what gains are you getting from the bored TB?? I went to the website for info, didn't find any, so, I'll ask here, are you getting more mpg's? more HP? what else?? why is everyone going from 3:55 gears to 4:10's? i'm gettin 10-12mpg with my 3:55's and 32.5" tires, back n forth to work. oh well, to each his own i guess.

I'm thinking of going from 3.07 to 3.55 but plan on going twin turbo in the future. Makes me wonder if I should just keep 3.07 or if I'd be able to stay out of boost during normal driving with 3.55.

I guess I should probably introduce myself and my v10.
I own a 96 dodge ram 2500 4x4 V10. I've was browsing the Internet for some ideas and came across this Dodge Forum. I love my V10, and the advise for them run short, but criticism high. Ive owned it for 4 years now and know my cons and pros. One of my biggest Con is all the special orders I have to do for my truck. All the way down to the battery cable bolts and grille mount clips. I've learned to take the parts into the store with me when I order because it is always a special order. Love it.
I am currently in the stages of cosmetically upgrading the truck. My gift to me and the truck for paying it off. Next week, I will be putting a new rebuilt tranny in it, cause we know how much dodge rocks in that department.
Here's a picture of my 3 up grades. New grille, re-painted my bug guard (what a pain) new towing mirrors. Going for all black to accent my red

New upgrades exterior include
*rhino lining rocker panels and fenders
*rhino lining my aluminum toolbox and bed rails
*smoke headlights / Tail lights
*Adding my Rancher Grille Guard
*Tint (eyebrow, side windows)
Probably a few others things I forgot to mention. Interior and performance is later.

I have dual exhaust all the way to the headers, no CATs, put 18 inch Glass packs there instead. (Montana doesnt require them) With chrome tips that dump out each side of the truck. No straight pipe. I haul horse trailers and as loud as that beast is, I can't run those pipes straight on the trailer.

Welcome new members!

I swapped from 3.55's to 4.10's "Yukon gear sets" and love it. When I'm runnin 75-80 I'm hummin about 2200-2400 RPM or so. Mileage in the city went up and hwy went down slightly, but I'd do it again in a hreat beat. Reason why I just went to 4.10 is because there is a carrier break after 4.10 so you have to replace the carrier to go larger than 4.10's, besides I have a LS carrier. I am runnin 285 75 16's and even have a spare that fit's up under the bed in that size! Just got 10mpg's towing my 5,000 lbs boat over 150 miles.

Anyway, I think the best upgrades are giving them air and exhaust. Haven't had a chance to upgrade to a http://www.thefastman.com/Throttlebodies80.asp TB. I talked to Dan a long time ago and if I remember right he said something like 35 hp and 45 torque improvement, but don't quote me on that.

http://bgperformancepcm.com/#magnum offers a PCM tune or you can get a hand held shipped to you with 3 custom tunes from them. The tuner is actually a SCT tuner, but with the B&G flashs. Tune is $350 and the tuner is $650.

Anyway, to update my post #82 , I did order a new set of Desno O2 sensors and that took care of my MPG problem. Desno is the OEM O2 senors on ours. Got em both for $51.50 shipped from www.rockauto.com.
