hey everyone i was just wondering if anyone knew what a good alarm system would be to put on a dodge ram. My truck did come with a security package, but after my last ram was stolen out of my driveway i am a little paranoyed.

Are you looking to install it yourself or have it done?

 

 

Safest would be to do it yourself, then only you know exactly where its wired in. It was a PITA, but I put my brain box on the passenger side of my old car to make it harder to just rip out. Most places just install them right by the steering colum and everyone knows that.

Viper and clifford are good choices. I deal a lot with UNGO. They seem to have the best tech support. Let me give some advice though, unless you have experience with 12volt electronic's don't attempt this job yourself. Yes we know where we put the brain's but what kind of installer is going to steal your truck. second if you have concern's about theft that much , invest in aback up siren they have a built in capacitor that will keep the alarm siren running even if the power is cut. Also you should make sure the alram you purchase has starter kill and code jumping capabilaty. That shouldn't be hard though most manufacturer's all have this technology now.
Tome of install Experiened 2-3hours full install with shock sensors and the works.
Un experienced 2-3 adys for the works . not trying to step on anyones toes but leave it to the professional's. (it help's with warranty claims too)
