Default everyone might find this interesting..or no one

As the proud owner of a 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T, I drive a rice rocket, and as the driver of a rice rocket, I need things that make it noisy. Ive been using a cold air intake that i made myself for a while now, but I now want one that looks nice, and is fully functional. AEM and K&N charge around 300 for their full length CAI, with a filter, and i consider that to be outrageous for like 10 hp, if that. And dreamspeed, charges around 125, which is still a bit high, and ive heard alot of bad stuff about them.

So, while looking around online the other day, i found a company called Live on speed performance, that sells intakes. i got mine super cheap, and as of this morning, it is on the way via ups. The reason this applies to anyone else, they also make them for the Hemi rams, 4.7 rams, and durangos and dakotas. They also make them for other dodge applications from what i gather. I figured i would post this, and once i get mine, and see how it is, i will report back with the pros or cons. so far, the biggest pro is that it was around 80 bucks, Shipped.

ill be in touch!

just you wait until you ride in the RT with the new subs.

I think the next thing will be the fish tank where the backseat folds down.

But anyway, it is a huge drop in price, and the way i see it, how can you screw up 2 mandrel bent pipes, and a MAF adapter? Even if the intake is Very bad, i can get the best amzoil or K&N fiter made, and still be ahead of the game.

It is supposed to be here on the 23rd.

Word to the wise, whichever choice you make, be prepared to defend your decision if you post it here!!! All in good taste, however!!![sm=smiley4.gif]

I have only used K&N, but a friend of mine told em that amzoil filters are putting out big dyno flows.

Sure....there's been a ongoing discussion about the merits of K&N versus Amsoil filters and the alleged problem with contamination from K&N filters which the K&N website acknowledges and cites over oiling as the reason. Amsoil fans claim K&N filters don't seal as well as theirs do, hence the dirty stuff getting inside. K&N sells a sealing grease for those applications, although in all honesty, I've never seen a reason to use it........
Personally, I think it's a case of the difference between apples and oranges. K&N is a filter company. They design their filters to have max air flow and filter out a certain level of particles. Their oil filters filter out even a smaller size of particle... Amsoil is a muti-product line company that uses established filter design and a well-known filtering method. Both filtering methods have their pluses and minuses.
I prefer to to buy my filters from a company that deals in one thing...filters. They can focus on one product line and improve/modify it at lower cost. Amsoil makes an EXCELLENT motor oil, but I have reservations about buying a filter from a company that also sells vitamins and other products in a MLM operation...Sorry Kale and Bill, I am NOT slamming the Amsoil product line, I just can't put certain items sold there on the same level as race proven items that are the make-or-break items for a company that has been around for many years. I have bought and will continue to buy, Amsoil lubrication products, but my FEELING is that perhaps Amsoil has gotten a bit too diverse in an attempt to be too many things to too many people. I will, as always, seek your advice on any oil or lubrication related matter and consider you both as friends...God Bless the USA and our freedom to express our opinions!!!![sm=smiley16.gif]
