Dakota Exhaust
what type of setup do you recommend? I want a dual, and I want it to have a deep rumble to it. and i would want to have both tips come out where the stock tip comes out, like on the SRT-10 ram.
you can never go wrong with a custom setup from a good exhaust shop. any good shop can take a dual-out muffler and route the pipes anywhere you want.
i have flowmasters on my Mirada, but it sounds good no matter what.
as for your truck, while working as a technician i installed both flowmasters and dynomax mufflers on 4.7L dakotas. I think that flowmasters sound better, but im sure LOTS of people here will say that they prefer dynomax or gibson.

Well my dad knows a couple of people at dougs muffler, not sure if your familiar with them? He used to restore classic fords, and had them do the exhaust system.
im not familiar with anyone anymore...but if you can find a muffler that you like on any dodge, and then have the pipes bent to exit how you like, you should be set!
well i found something i liked, its made by gibson, and both tips are on 1 side. its not a true dual but o well. just wondering are they a reliable brand or should I try some one else?

nate, unless you live in a non-emission state, you will never have true duals...they are illegal in most emissions states...a few guys on here have the gibson system on the new rams, with the pre-tire side exit, sort of like a nascar exhaust exit, and they look good, but like 71RR, i also run flowmasters on my V8
