What Spark Plugs U guys/gals Recommend?
Last post i said i had lost 2lbs of boost and was gettign some flutter at full throttle / max psi. Yall recommended new plugs and wires could fix the prob. Well a few months ago (5ish) i replaced the plugs and wires with OEM and gaped the plugs at what the old ones were.........which if i remember correctly it was 55. I dont recall when it was i noticed the difference in boost lvls but it has been since i changed out the old w/ the new.
What wires / plugs yall recommend and what gap?
Thanks.

I've had my MSD wires for three years and they still perform and look like new............as for plugs, you're going to get several different opinions. I know what works well in my car and my wallet is happy as well...........

you could probably go with about 35-40 on the gapping (i should ask what all modifications you have first, if your too distant you can blow the spark out). and i have heard nothing but great things about the MSD wires. There are a lot of choices out there for plugs
I still have the stock wires but I also have a heat shield. You should definitely get a heat shield to protect the coil pack and wires. I have almost 30K mileage and changed the plugs once about 10K ago. I put in Autolite brand iridium plugs and have been happy. I did that to fix the idle stumble the car has had since new. It helped. It is starting to idle stumble a bit more now and I'm thinking I may want to change the plugs again for this season and gap them a little tighter due to mods I have done, but I have been generally happy with the Autolites so far and have not noticed flame blow out, yet, but I have higher boosts in mind and possible,so I plan on staying ahead of my problems. I will try to be gentle with the wires and keep them. I am a firm believer in the if it aint broke, dont fix it. So IMO pulling the plug wires on and off a lot is where a lot of people induce failures in the wires. I have thus far been rather trouble free and I drive hard. I may go with Autolites again just gapped tighter.
^only argument against certain heat shields is that they block some of the air flow going to the turbo... but i have never read anything conclusive one way or the other, but im still reluctant to put one on

I bought a "Mopar" coil shield from eBay for $10 that arrived in a factory looking package and it shouldn't block any airflow to the turbo, because it wraps around the coil and only covers the bottom, backside and a tiny edge at the top.
