Bucking and clicking noise
Well, the day after I took it to get it's oil changed and had it looked at, I was leaving my work to go to lunch and my exhaust fell off where it connects at the downpipe. I thought that could have been the cause of my problem, having the exhaust leak, so i drove it right to the dealer instead of eatin lunch, they tightened the exhaust. While it was up on the lift i was under the car and looked at it, i noticed there was oil on my intercooler tube right below where it connects to my throtle body, they said it was normally"Because the the extreme vacuum and pressure through the engine, the tube coming off the pcv valve sucks some oil in through the tube into the airbox and then the oil leaks out of the airbox, IT'S NORMAL." Is this true?, Also I had my car in the shop on monday and they replaced my plugs and wires and reprogramed the computer and it is still having the same problem but not so much, but now i notice that when i accelerate in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th it is not a smooth acceleration, it kinda feels like the clutch is slipping but i have no clue about these things. I am going to end up taking the car back to the dealer once again for the 3rd time. I dunno [:@] Tranny? Clutch? Axles? Like i said I don't know.
The leakage of the oil is "normal" but not really good for the engine or intercooler...the $20 Oil Catch Can will take care of it, though....
You might try disconnecting your negative battery cable and leaving it that way for a few hours before hooking it back up and driving it around. Did that to mine yesterday after I got it back from the dealer...

Thanks about the oil can thing but do you have any idea what the problem is, seems like when i accelerate there is a lose in something causing the nonsmooth acceleration like it had when it was new, could the extra oil from the pcv cause any of these issues. I don;t know what to do, my car is def. not running to it full capacity and it sucks b/c i only have 3114 miles on it and it does even drive like i first got it .
The oil won't make your car run rough, not with your low miles.
Sometimes if you do the thing with the battery terminal the PCM has a chance to "relearn" everything...but you gotta leave it off for a couple of hours so it will "forget" the bad data....

Just this past week my car started idling a lot rougher, now as it sits it bumps around like there is a "skip" in the running of the engine, while it idles rough there is an occasional pop out my exhaust, almost like a backfire but not that loud. Anyone, I took it to the dealer again for the 5th or 6th time, i don't even know anymore, i can't do the lime law b/c they say there is nothing wrong with my car. Basically they tell me if there is no CHECK ENGINE light on there is nothing wrong with the car. I think that is a bunch of bull [:@] I am taking it to another dealer next week hopefully they will be a little bit more of a help than the place i have been going to. They checked the computed but did not find anything, not even in the history. I have no clue and the bucking problem is still occuring. My old roomate bought his srt4 2 weeks after i got mine, and now his just started to have that bucking problem. I dunno I think there is something wrong with my car but so minor but difficult to find that they don't want to bother trying to locate the problem.
Make sure all of the intercooler hoses are tight and not leaking boost, this will cause a loss of power. Having the A/C on or the defroster on will also cause a power loss due to the use of the A/C compressor, it will cause an irregular power loss that comes and goes.
True, that hole that was in my I/C hose after the sensor popped out made a major difference. It was weird, hearing the exhaust and all, and not really moving down the road all that fast.....
HAVING the same symptoms with only 800mi on OD. Dusty where and what sensor was that on the IC hose? Anybody hear if silvert diagnost his problem. Also have A clutch engaging two inches off the floor making it real hard to ninja shift damn[>:]Going to check hoses now HATTEN THE SHAKKEN
It was an air intake sensor on the top of the IC tube under the front part of the airbox. The car seemed to run OK and sounded about the same, but the power was way down...all show and no go.
I drove it for 3-4 days after it popped off and was surprised to hear the service tech say "we don't recommend driving it".

the "bucking" ALWAYS occurs when your riding in a dodge BULL!!!! j/k....mine hasn't started that yet and I will watch for it! But I HAVE to tell this because I am AMAZED! The dealer called me after He gave me the new set of plugs and filled my car up with gas just for picking them up and told me they were gonna send me a set of MSD wires for FREE to keep this from happening again!!! and just to hang on to the other set they gave me until my next oil change! I am almost positive that this is unheard of from a dealership but hey, If they're willing to give, I'm willing to receive!!! If anyone lives close to Tennessee I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRINDSTAFF DODGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are great! on my first oil change they PICKED UP my car from work and left me a SRT-10 in case I had to go anywhere before they got my car back! Needless to say I went to lunch EARLY that day
