Default FOUND IT!!!!!

Okay heres what it SHOULD look like. If your Number 4 doesnt look like that.... then it wasn't done right.

Thats to keep it away from the turbo so the wire doesn't melt. Its not so much the plug as it is the wire itself. But once the wire gets burnt enough...if you look inside the little hole it'll be white as pure snow....thats when the plug goes bad, then you've got BIIIIG problemos.

BTW is it throwing any codes??? Since your CEL is on it should throw you a code.
To check the code turn the key to the "on" position 3-5 times fast...it'll flash a P-XXXX numbers and then say dONE. Dunno why the d is lower case.

Heres the code you should find:
P0304-CYLINDER #4 MISFIRE

BTW good luck. And speak with the service manager, not some tech. No offense to the techs, but if the problem reoccured, the manager might help more. And keep us/me updated.

Default Got my car back on Friday

Here is the story. I get to to dealer as they are still reprogramming the PCM. About 15 minutes after I got there they finished. They restarted my car and same old store, still running rough, no more check engine light. The code thrown with the check engine light was a misfire on #4. After I got my receipt I got into the car and I was very agravated to have the car running the same as i brought it there. They had replaced the #4 wire 2 weeks prior so they didn't bother replacing it again. They told me my car was running fine, and i told the manager and the tech that is is still the same and the Tech started getting all huffy with me. He said, " Is the check engine Light on, No so it is running as designed" I smiled and got into my car a drove away. Yesterday (monday) I brought it back to the dealer and had the manager sit in the car an he felt that it was running rough. He said that he has exhausted all ideas and that i should contact the Diamler Corporation to see if they would repurchase my car so i could get a new one. Yaahoo 2005, well hopefully. [:@] Today as i was driving home for my lunch hour, my check engine light did go on, I did what you said and the code was P0300. I called the dealer and they made the next appointment Next Wednesday a week from tomorrow. Oh well mybe they will fix it this time. I will let you know.

Yes it does....

If possible I wouldn't drive it at all. Theres gotta be something the idiots can do. I'd try another dealership too. Just randomly take it to one before your other appointment and tell them what happened, but don't say you went somewhere else. A second opinion is always better. And sometimes even a third. If not, ask for the DCX reps number, and go through him/her telling them what happened and that no dealer can fix it. But I'd check out a couple others before bringing it back to these asshats.

This dealer I have been going to is the second dealer. Going there with the same problem. The first dealer (the dealer I bought my Car from) could not find the problem, b/c at that time there was no check engine light or code, so they kept telling me that it was running as design too. So i got pissed and left them to goto the next. The dealer I am going to now seems to be helping me alot more than the 5 star dealer I purchased the car from. If the next visit is not a success in fixing the problem then I am going to be filing for the lemon law with assistance from the Attorney General. Because I am way over the 4 visits with no fix, more like 6 or 7 visits with the same problem occuring. Thanks for all your ideas.

I'd call about the lemon law now....before you take it in. Tell them this is your 7th service visit, they may ask for proof of them make sure you have your order writeups, and the problem still hasn't been solved. Then say if it isn't fixed this time, I want to inquire further.

Good luck either way.

Default HERE IS THE DEAL WITH WHAT WAS WRONG

I finally got so pissed about my car running rough that i called Crysler Corp. and they ended up setting an appointment up with one of there mechanic gods. Two days before I had the appoinment i was getting off the highway and my check engine went on again. [:@] Oh well at least the appointment was set. The code ended up being a misfire on multiply cylinders and the was high voltage found in the throttle position sensor. I took it to the dealler and later that afternoon I call to check up on the car. "Good news the tan wire harness going to you trottle position that has 3 wires, the ground was loose which in affect cause extra gas dumped into my engine which was making it misfire." The only reason I didn't get a voltage code before is because the wire was loose and the ground was making off and on contact, the only reason that they found the problem is because of the high voltage code being thrown, the ground actually broke causing the high voltage code. So they made the wires longer and put a new wire harness on and it is fine now. If you look at your throttle body, there are about 3 wire harnesses the one that was screwed up on my car was the tan one, alot of the SRT-4's have this short wire problem that put tension on the harness which breaks and loosens the ground. So check out yours as well, if you look you will see what I mean. Any questions let me know. I will try and get a picture of the wire harness.

Running great now

Yep, I've heard of many problems related to the throttle body harnesses, mostly coming unplugged during spirited driving when the engine is bucked hard while shifting.
