I am a long, looong time, diehard Mopar Man. I will always be one. I am entiteled to my opinion weather you like it or not so deal with it.
I did not say that Mopars are the best cars in the whole world and are perfect and are faster than anything else. Infact like all the great super heroes, they definitely have there faults or weaknesses. IMO again, the more perfect a car is the more gay it is, like for instance, any Lexus. This does not mean, nor did I mean to imply that gay meant "bad car", "slow" or "unsafe to drive" or any other silly idea. I'll tell you right now that I love almost all Elton John music and I have much respect for what the Mustang car (that I called gay) is capable of. I'll also tell you that I actually kind of like Subies and Mitsus and some pink or purple colored cars.
You just need to be aware that there are people like me (especially on a DODGE forum) that will not be real supportive of your decision to drive brand X or S or whatever. I dont care how great they are. So go get your e-hugs elsewhere.
When I said "anything besides a Mopar" (keyword - anything) that was your clue to not take this personally or even too seriously.
So does this make me a hater? no, just not a lover and you are just going to have to be ok with that.

 

I have to agree that the wrx is kinda slow but everything can be modded. I was heavily into the sti/wrx but decided to go evo as its way cheaper to tune them and to modd. The boxere engines just dont produce the power the evos do with similar mods. Personally id go evo because 500AWhp dailydriver is 5-6 grand in mods on them.

The srt-4 guys really do get a bad rep for the cocky ones that think they can run anybody and win. i ran a guy the other night in my hemi truck 4 times from stop lights and he was BEHIND my rear tires until he hit third and boost walked me. I had 2 people with me on top of that. respect what someone else drives as the win will be more rewarding and the lost (oh it will happen) wont sting so much.

 

Low 14's to me is not slow but coming from an Evo I would agree it is slow. For about $1500 I could have low 13's in a regular wrx so that's not bad in my eyes. I would get an evo or an sti over the normal wrx but I can't afford it and insurance would be crazy high. The car is not all for speed either, I just really like the styling and all that as well.

I just ran a wrx today. There was about 5 or 6 ricers in line on one side of the road. i go by all of them reving and the wrx was in front of all of them. i pull up next to him he gave me a thumbs up and said sounds nice. I told him the same. so he was like you wanna a do a quick run and i said sure lets just slow down a little so theres no cars in front of us. we were at like 35 mph and we did the 3 honk thing. i left and his front bumper was at my front wheel maybe the whole time i didnt look but i seen him in the corner of my eye the whole time. it was a good race we both gave each other thumbs up and said nice run. Its awsome when people aren't ******** about racing. i wish i could meet more people like him. i just have a catback so he must of had some mods since he was keepimg up cause wrx are slower than srt's stock for stock.

 

I know I do like it when people are nice about racing! Where I live we have a lot of hispanics and mexicans (nothing against them) that drive civics and civic hatchbacks and they think that there cars are king **** and are so f@#$ing cocky about there cars. I swear that the law over here says that if your a mexican you have to buy a civic put a big 4-5 inch exhaust pipe on the back of it and lower it. That is all I every see, and they are not fun to race against, stuck up dicks![&:]

 

i had an experience with my friends wrx and let me tell you, it wasnt pretty. You would think i would win because srt's are faster stock + i have mods, but this isnt an ordinary wrx. It looks like a stock '05 wrx (except for the fmic which he is going to paint black)but it hasa builtSTi engine and tranny swapped in with a gt-35 turbo and a whole bunch of other supporting mods pushin around 490-500awhp. We raced from a 3rd gear roll and i was winning for the first couple of seconds untill his turbo finally spooled and then he blew my doors off lol. He has won alot of $ suckering ppl into racing him because they think its stock.

 

You must live near me. The only difference is that they add a bad looking wing to the back and then they steal them from each other.......there's a Honda that belongs to a guy that works in a grocery store near me that has had 5 or 6 different wings in the past year.....!!!!
