no offense badsrt4, but a 9.3 1/8 mile is not typical for an srt. if you look at people's numbers, that 1/8 mile time is common for cars running about a 14.2 or higher in the 1/4. stock i did a 8.9 1/8 mile, and that was with a 2.18 60', and ran it to a 13.8 for the 1/4. those numbers are more common for stock cars.

the 1/8 mile is not a good comparison for an evo/srt run. the evo will always have a better 60' than an srt because of awd. thus in that short a track, it will be very hard, if not impossible for a stock srt to catch it. but once you get past that 1/8 mile mark, the srt starts to pull and can beat an evo, depending on the driver. srts are better top end, and at the track that means 3rd and 4th gears pull like mad. an 1/8 mile track is just too short to see the abilities of this car.

Also true. I checked my best times and I have clocked a couple of 2.0_ 60' times and Run a 8.7 1/8.
You can probably launch a little better; if you're having trouble attaining those numbers, a cheap 25$ set of motor mount inserts will help you immensely.

yup like i said im not the best driver[:'(] lol... and im not trying to make an excuse but the track its not a verry good one.. averege mustang gt time (stock 03 gt) is 9.2 . but my point was that the stock srt wont beat an evo before getting into fourth gear. if im wrong i dont mind you guys letting me know (with proof) and i'll shut up!!![sm=shutup.gif]. dont worry psichick thats what we here for to inform. it takes a lot more to offend me...

Good attitude, dude!!!! I just happened to have a copy of the June 2003 issue of Road & Track nearby in which they list the performance figures for the (2003) SRT-4, Evo, and WRX/STi:

EVO- 0-60 mph 4.8 sec WRX/STi- 4.9 sec SRT-4- 5.6 sec

1/4 mile - 13.4@103mph 13.3@103 mph 14.2@101.5 mph

The 2004 SRT-4 model has more ponies, so figures would be better.....

personally i think that car and driver just can't drive. 14.2 isn't very good, even for a 03' with our arguable lower hp numbers. i pulled a 13.8 out of my 03' and i by no means have a factory freak. 14.0 is much more common for 03's stock, 04's well i've seen them do 13.7 stock, and again c&d put it at like 13.9. seems like they just like driving 2 tenths slower than everyone else lol

I desperatly need track time with mine to get a decent run. My biggest problem is launching it properly, I've only went down the track 4 times in it so far and that is far too few.[:@]

what was your best time so far?? and how about your 60'?? i just found some of my times. my 60' 2.265, and the whole track was 9.452, i couldn't find the 9.3, but i dont think there's a big diference.

My best (which is still terrible) time of the whole 4 runs I made was 60' 2.405 and 9.620 in the 1/8. As you can see, my poor launches are what is killing my times.[:@]
