Default Finally got my test drive!

WOW,That about sums it up. This thing is quick! I instantly fell in love with it. So you guys want to hear the story, well I called a few dealers to find one not really caring for color since it was a test drive(I am going to get the blue one)I show up and I am met buy a really bad used car salesman and he says you want to drive an srt 4 eh? I say shure I hear that they are pretty hot little cars and he says between you and me I personally had this up to 100. Anyway we set out on a main road and rowing through the gears was awesome this car has such positive shifts, and the ride is so smoothe! I say to the salesman lets see what she can really do,and he says if you can handle it. Thankfully no one was on the freeway well as I am pulling 3 rd. at about 80 m.p.h I punch it rowing through the last two gears and this thing has *****! the salesman is yelling at the top of his lungs to slow down(he yells like a girl LOL) he is gripping the dash board and about when I hit 135 m.p.h he started praying!!! I felt bad for the guy,so I brought it back down, and pulled into the dealership and guys he had tears in his eyes,he jumped out of the car ran in the dealership and sent out another salesman who then told me that he thinks I sould buy the car from another dealership It was pretty fun! Anyway I love the interior the shifter, the shifts the braking, handeling, and most of all the turbo and power! So currently I applied for a loan and am saving up a little cash to put down on the car and I should have one in a month or two.I want to thank all of you for your advise and for welcoming me to this site, and hopefully I will have a track slip with a big 13.00 to post on here very shortly!

Don't forget to follow the break in recommendations in the owners manual.

And before somebody else says it....."We told ya so!"

Glad you like it.......

What kind of mods (if any) are you planning for it?

Well I really liked the shifting, but I am considering a short throw shifter.Definatly a mopar stage one upgrade, oil catch can, exhaust(do they make headers for the srt-4?)A lowering kit but only if they come out with one that dosnt put the car so low.And probally the typhoon(sp?) by k&n. Also a set of slicks for when I take the car to the track. Do you have any reccomendations for furthur upgrades or comments on what I have here? I would greatly appriciate it!

That's a good list, I'd stick with Mopar Performance parts when possible, they are generally higher quality and have fewer issues with fit. With what you have listed, I'd go with the Mopar/Borla exhaust. Anything more isn't needed until you pushing 325-350 hp.

No mopar BOV for ya?

Blow Off Valve = BOV. Doesn't do a thing for performance but sounds cool as heck. A nice PSSSSHHHHHTTTTT (like air brakes on an 18 wheeler) sound everytime you gas it or shift.

Go to www.modernperformance.com
In addition to having almost everything you need for your SRT-4, they have a "crash course" on the workings of the SRT-4 and how different mods affect it. It's worth reading.

The Mopar/Borla system is a cat-back system.
