Any problems with the srt-4 04's???
Unless you take it to the drags and modify it way out of the ordinary, your SRT-4 will be fine in normal, day to day, ricer killing driving.
BTW, the "problem is the #4 spark plug WIRE, not the spark plug......[sm=smiley20.gif]

I have that issue of Modified Mag that you are talking about and if had read the very next sentence (here is the next sentence:"This exact thing happened to Ray Arroyo and his '03 Dodge Neon SRT-4 at Atco Raceway in NJ precisely one week before our photo shoot.") you would know that this happened to the featured car that is pushing out 424 horsepower at the wheels with a stock tranny. Right after this happened the tow truck driver that pulled his SRT-4 off the track hooked up to it wrong and ripped the nose off of it as well.
The only issues with the SRT-4 are the plug wires, which has been mentioned already, and the speedometer developing a slight case of the needle becoming jumpy between 70 and 75 MPH. It is actually only a slight movement back and forth between 70-75 that only moves 1-2 MPH back and forth. These are the only two real issues that I've heard of about the SRT-4's in general. I have also heard of people with '03 SRT-4's having difficulty shifting, but nothing to keep it from being driveable.

yes now that you mention it, i do have some trouble putting it in gear. feels like i hit the metal inbetween the gearslots, i just pulll the shifter back a little and the next try it works just fine. i don't race it so it's not much of a problem. a few minor issues with the radio, so what.
you guys should also know that ray (the car form modified mag) had changed his clutch recently as well to the spec 3i, which has had some issues disengaging, and this was a contributing factor to his tranny giving out. he also had problems with it before even changing the clutch. this was not unexpected that it happened to him given the events leading up to it, nor is it commonplace.
