Default SRT-4 Alarm Activated?

How many of you all have the alarm on your SRT-4 activated?

There is an "alarm" built into the SRT-4, but the dealer has to activate it. Most don't. There's been a rash of auto break-ins around my neighborhood, and I was thinking about getting the dealer to do it.

Correct, but the dealer has to "do his thing" to make the system work. The owners manual points out the light on the dash that flashes if it's activated.....mine doesn't flash and when I bought the car, they played "stupid" when I asked about it being listed on the window sticker as standard equipment.....

Same thing as I have....don't get me wrong, it's not a fancy alarm system. It just basically beeps the horn if you don't use the key fob to unlock the door. It doesn't detect broken glass, movement, etc.....

Well i just called my dealership because they are still open they said they dont "activate" anything. He told me perhaps the keypad battery is dead or your dealership has a special or different type of setup. Sorry Jim im trying here!

He also told me its not an alarm at all its just a keyless entry system. <shrugs> Who knows now.
