04 Srt-4 with stage 2/ no toys. how impressive?
ORIGINAL: PSI Chick
you would need something to tune in order to get it tuned. s2 on it's own has nothing to tune at all, you just put it on and go.
s2 has been known to hit 300hp with the right supporting mods....

I'm thinking it might be time to start putting a little cash away to do some simple upgrades... make the car even faster... ha-ha...
some of the best supporting mods for s2 (other than the basics like mounts and such)......

I have a stage 2 with toys with a full 3 inch TBE and stock airbox. On a really bad traction day at my local track I ran a 13.6 at almost 107. On street tires. At my race weight of 3140 and doing the qtr mile hp math, I must be right at 299 hp. The only other major mod is motor mounts. There is no doubt in my mind that with enough traction, I could run in the 12's. PSI chick is right on the money with the fact that there is nothing to tune if you do not have an aftermarket fuel control and yes the stage 2 does run quite rich. I need a fuel control and a boost control myself. The stage 2 wga is fine if you do not want to mess with it. It holds 16 lbs in DAB 3 just like it's supposed to. I've heard the AGP's are better, but probably only necessary if you are holding more boost.
What kind of cars can you beat? The list is impressive. SS/SC Cobalt, V-8 GP / Impala SS's, Supercharged V-6 GP's, V-8 mustangs both 4.6 and 5.0, LT-1 anything, LS-1 most things, BMW 3 series, V-8 S-10's, WRX's, G35, built deisel Ford Super Duty (Very built but not maxxed), older Corvettes to name a few that I personally know of.
Cars to watch out for?; See the above ^^^ as they can all be quite fast with the right mods.

You mean 299hp at the crank ? ..... at the wheels you would def. need a fuel controller to see close to 300whp.

sigh ...... I'm just saying he doesn't have 300whp. He was probably referring to whp which I disagree with his numbers..... to have 300whp you would have roughly 345hp at the crank with a 15% drivetrain loss...... which you are not going to see without some kind of fuel control.
forget the crank crap. all numbers that srt gives are wheel hp numbers, even the stock numbers.
s2 (or s3 for that matter) is not for dyno queens. if you want a high hp number go another route. it's for people who want to see performance at the track.
