04 Srt-4 with stage 2/ no toys. how impressive?
Hey all-
I hope this ? is o.k. As some of you may know especially PSI Chick
, I am looking into getting a 04-05 srt-4. Not trying to bench race or start a street racing thread... I just want to compare so that i know what to expect based on my goals for the srt.
My ? is if i take a stock srt and get stage 2 and the usual intake and cat back what are the most impressive cars you guys/gals can think of that i can beat or even stay even with?

a basic s2 on street tires at the track will run a low 13, possibly a high 12. if you throw a set of dr's on there definitely a high 12, trapping 108-110. you can hang with quite a few cars with that.
i will also tell you that a s2 performs a hundred times better with supporting mods, especially fuel. it runs ridiculously rich. a fc of some sort helps greatly, not just in power but also for gas mileage.

yes a fuel controller. like a safc, neo, dtec, something like that so you can pull fuel and not run 9:1 a/f's lol

Also while on the subject, Just how much horsepower can be reached with the s2? For example the numbers with s2 state around 260 hp. with other bolt ons like exhaust, etc, how much can i get total. If possible please keep in mind im in Ca, so it has to be mods that allow me to pass smog.
-Additional- after stage 2 and bolt ons is a dyno tune worth it? When i had my mustang a guy was telling me with full exhaust if i were to dyno tune my car it would be a beast, but i never got around to it so i am curious.

you would need something to tune in order to get it tuned. s2 on it's own has nothing to tune at all, you just put it on and go.
s2 has been known to hit 300hp with the right supporting mods....
