Default 5" Tachometer/Shift-lite installed

Just finished installing my 5" Tach this afternoon. Now, when Spring comes back around, I wont be short-shifting at 45-50k.[sm=icon_sneaky.gif][sm=nerd.gif]
Now here's a STORY: I was driving around, in Germany, and i noticed that evertime the shift-lite illuminated, cars being me was slowing down. Threw me off for a couple of miles when i added the skit up. Here in Germany, when a LIGHT flashes you, it means to the Germans and some Americans has had their picture taken from the Polizei. So i began having fun[sm=devilgrin.gif][sm=icon_sneaky.gif][sm=innoc.gif] with everyone. Until i got pulled over from the Cops[sm=imsmilin.gif]. They tried to give me a ticket for vision abstruction[sm=nerd.gif]. But when i mentioned that their FLASHIN camera blinds drivers they started manking excuses...[sm=sorry.gif][try again]. The partner admitted, while the other ran my plates, that he slowed down a few times until he notice that it was the vehicle was illuminating not a camera[sm=icon_rock.gif].
So, I didnt get a ticket...but i had to put the cover over the shift-lite

SWEEEEEEETTTT[sm=smiley2.gif]

Yeah, the German fuzz and their darn VW wagons with the camera/flash inside. Scared the hell outta me the first time it happened....thought I had bought the farm or something.....

Yeah Turbo I'm with you, I don't get it either. Aren't most shift lights orange/yellowish anyways??? How could that be mistonstrued as a flash from a camera???

Another guy with an SRT, German (lol thats his name), mounted his more towards the passenger side. Its quite large too.

They used VW vans in the 70's and 80's....Roach says have different vehicles now.

They take your picture with you in the driver's seat and your plate clearly visible along with the violation info. When I was there, you could go to the "Bundespost" (German Post Office) and pay the fine.....
