that gs-r wasnt stock (internaly) or had like 75shot at the least. even turbo setups are slow unless there at least in the t3 range with a properly built motor. but then what honda is stock anymore? and its really easy to get a honda into the 13's nowadays

 

sorry to say it posthondaremoval but a stock gsr runs a 15.5 with a good driver completely stock. last weekend my brother ran a 15.124 at 90.56 mph and his stock clutch was slipping.all he has is an intake and a catback ith no muffler. some people drive different man ive seen a bubby as run by an srt4 at the track it ran a 15.2.He ran like 4 times i was like damn this guy cant drive for ****. it was very possible that the srt4 driver could not drive his car at all

 

It was a SXT with the SRT body kit. Don't get me wrong the GSR is a great car but in a drag it will not hang with the SRT even with a bad driver. Well maybe if they started in 4th gear. Hell stock I've rolled with a C5 convertable auto from 40 to 80. So I say BS or SXT with the SRT body kit or the srt needs to get fix because it was FUBAR.

 

Thats just bad, that guy in srt-4 just can't drive. There is your answer, nothin more to it. Even with the mods listed there is no way. Or it was an SXT with a kit.

 

Wrong, Wrong, Wrong. The numbers I quoted are from the same car magazine, using the same driver. Stock str-4's have run into the low 13's with a good driver, so if you want to get snitty, then maybe stock GR-R's can run low 15's. That's 2 seconds, bub. I have seen horrible runs, also, but take into consideration that a horrible run in a GS-R lands you in much worse territory than 15.2(which is one of the worst runs I have heard of in an SRT-4). I have seen GR-R's run as low as the 17's(snicker, snicker).

Also let it be known that I am a fan of Honda products. One of my favorite cars is the Integra Type R. Few cars ever made could drive like it can. So I am not biased.

The SRT-4 is just in a different league. If you mod a SRT-4 like you would have to mod a GS-R to keep up with it, you would easily be in the low twelves, maybe high 11's with the right rubber. And don't throw in that the GS-R cost less. New - they were 21 grand. Same as the SRT-4.

I was being nice. But someone needs to get a little bit of a clue.[8D]

PS - dyno a GR-R. You will net about 127 hp to the wheels. Pretty paltry, compared to 230+ at the wheels.

 

i agree casper, 100% if it was an SRT-4, than the guy was a horrible driver because a stock GSR WILL NOT stick with an SRT-4-no f'ing way...

 

either about 10000 in motor of gsr or the so called srt-4 was in fact an sxt i had a friend tell me the same story .

Yeah. It could have the been the SRT Design SXT. I know that I can hang with most anything that runs low to mid 15s.

 

Um...4 people as of 3 makes a huge difference as the car will studder with certain amount of weight. I've done this/had this happen it seems soon as you get to 500+ lb of added weight to car it tends to studder a little. I really never looked into exactly why this happens as if its that the gas is flooded for second or what...I really didn't care to find out I just threw everyone out of the car...Hee hee hee
