where is the blow off valve

Mopar BOV, here. and no dressing. Just the gasket and the right torque. It has been on for more than 10 months, never touched since, and I was spiking 20 and holding 17-18 to redline yesterday in hte heat. The thing definitely does not leak if you install it right. The factory s3r car is running the blow off conversion, and I am sure if it holds for stage 3 on their car. It is a well- designed piece, and I personally don't see the merit in spending another 200$ on a aftermarket bov unless you want a different sound. I will probably do hard pipes for performance, but not for a bov, myself.

How in the hell did you get a torque wrench on the notorious third bolt?
- I didn't. That would be a trick.
Just feel really - after torquing hundreds of bolts to spec - I have a pretty good idea - really, my point was that proper torque means not overtightening or undertightening. As RR just said, overtorquing could be the problem most people have - creating bowed flanges. I agree with him 100% on that.
Too many people think that tighter is always better - they go too far and end up hurting things.

Yep, it's one of the greatest causes of valve cover leaks too. They could have added a thicker outer ring (triangular) to go between the bolt heads and the flange to more evenly distribute the torque and increase the sealing by reducing, if not eliminating, the bowing all together. Then again they do give you the correct torque to install it without causing problems like that. Someone should make one to sell, that way you could be more confident in it even if you cannot get a torque wrench on it, and who can with where that SOB is located.

. Some one ought to jump on it and make one - it would surely sell.
20 lb spike/18 lb hold is during 95 degree and humid weather. In 80 degree dry weather, I am around 18-19 spike holding 16-17 to redline, so really I've only got around half of a pound on ya'.
