SRT4 VS STI
i just started a new job and i saw that one of the guys i work with has an sti, he seemed interested in my srt4 today asking questions and so on, so my question is if we go run em how bad will i lose, all i got is S1 in my car, he says he has a wrx to i told him to bring that out to play too, atleast i can beat one of em. But how bad against an sti?
shouldnt get beat too bad from a roll...13.1 is the norm for stock sti you could be running 13.9 w/ stage one give or take, but you will never know till u race it. Let us know how you did. good luck!
sorry highrevr,
but I gotta nix this idea of racing from a roll... I hate that, I think it's lame, and it doesn't really prove anything... how do I figure?? tell the NHRA they should race their cars from a roll
NASCAR and IRL start from rolls, but that racing concerns itself more with who runs out of gas first (lame) - ha-ha. Sorry, I just hate that "race from a roll" idea, it seems so "ricer-ish" (nothing personal).
STI's are quick cars... I've yet to race one personally... however, I have raced an 01 Cobra vs. my at the time stock SRT... Cobra won... I also drove this same cobra vs. an STI and lost... if A can beat B, and C can beat A... C should beat B
who said math was useless - ha-ha...

It depends on how willing the STI owner is to beat on his car. A friend of mine owns an STI and he brought it out to the track. He was completely unwilling to really launch the thing, and would bog off the line. It took awhile for him to even get a 13.9 out of it.
While waiting for a table at a TGIF not to long ago I witnessed a STI vs EVO race. The STI owner bogged off the line and the EVO owner LAUNCHED his car. The Evo was across the intersection before the STI really got moving.

If you race him at a track and he is not experienced anything can happen. We can all tell you what we THINK will happen, but the only way to know for sure is to do it. It might be closer than you think if he is stock. Good luck and keep us updated on what happens.

sorry to jack the thread
first off, racing from a roll is for ricers and bishes who dont know how to launch, and it is usually insisted on by people who cant handle a tree.
