Here's the scenario: Standing start Quarter mile, SRT stg 0 left lane, JATO rocket assisted Subie right lane. BUT..... The JATO is triggered to fire at half track or at lets say exactly 7 seconds from full throttle applied via a microswitch.
Who wins?

 

I do, the rocket blows up and the the WRX goes to the moon, lol

Someone actually did that out west a few years back. He strapped it to the top of an old Chevy Impala. All they found was fragments of the car and teeth stuck in the steering wheel! LOL

 

I believe that to be more of an "urban legend". I heard it too, back in the late 80's early 90's. Cool idea though.
