I finally got beat!!!!
Well, I guess it had to happen sometime. I finally got beat racing, and this is after racing camaros, stangs, evo's, and 350Z's.... The funny thing is that I got beat by another SRT-4, it was a black one with a Sunroof, I thought I could take'em but he must have been modded a little, cuz he pulled off a half a car length on me.
Has anyone else been beat, and by what???

ive yet to loose to an srt-4 even when stock, but ive yet to race a s3 car... i dont race often but when i do i win about 4 of 5 some of the losses i can remember are: draged out datson, 05 viper, sti before i got most of my upgrades, damn i cant think of anymore...
lost to:
01 Cobra with mod's
STI before my S2 upgrade
SS Camaro
I really don't race too much really... not exactly the safest smartest thing I can do
.....
Things I have beat:
98 BMW M3
96 Mustang GT
84 Camaro
many 5.0L
Silverado SS (sure it was an easy kill... but... haha)
working that same 01 Cobra mentioned above...
just remember, be a humble loser
no ones like someone who makes excuses... haha

I didnt mind being by another SRT-4. I actually thought that it was funny that after all this time it took another SRT-4 to beat me. I just would hate to be beat by a stang or camaro, something like that.
Its all good, you win some, ya lose some.... Correction: You win most of them, and lose once in a blue moon!
HAHA

Just remember cost vs. value......your SRT-4 smokes most cars costing thousands more. Personally, I can sleep quite well knowing I've pissed off some rich SOB who will be paying far more in car payments than I will......[sm=patriot.gif]
The only times I've lost in my SRT-4 have been at the track, which happens to be the crapiest and slowest track around, especially for turbo cars which all seemed to be over a full second off of what they should be running (stock WRX's turn 14.5-14.6 on average in the 1/4 mile, but at this track they can only run 15.8's and there were several of them all running in the 15.8's). The N/A cars are not nearly as badly affected at this track, but they are still not running their best there. I have only been on this one track so far and have been beat 3 times out of around 12-15 runs, I was just running for times and didn't care what was next to me. The first loss was to a modified Talon Tsi AWD running mid-low 13's there, the second was a built and sprayed Integra running mid 13's there and the last was to a built Viper GTS with slicks running high 11's there. One of my many wins was against a built and caged Viper GTS with slicks that ran consistent 11.0's-11.1's, the only time he ran anything but that was against me for some reason.[sm=WTFsgign.gif] Thankfully I have not lost on the street yet, but I don't get into many races on the street. I have yet to race another SRT-4.
In my life? about 55/45 win lose. That's with all my cars, trucks, bikes and whatever. Lots of racing. With the srt? That's hard to say because they were all on the road and in various conditions with no agreed finish or starting line. I will count them all as wins but I would have to justify each as to why and I type to slow and this would be waaaay to long. Let's just say during each one, they other guy realized at some point he was being "owned". I really, really want to get to my local track to establish a baseline while my car is still stage zero-ish. Problem is, track is too far and I work 2nd shift and most test and tunes are evenings but if they do the morn session (like 10 am) it's still too far for me to go and get back and not miss work. Lately, every weekend, either I am out of town or they don't allow a test and tune due to some scheduled big deal. I am really hoping for this Sat as they only have local brackets and I think they may let me run. (This would be Martin Mi.) I never had this problem at Vegas. I could always run between local brackets or event weekends unless it was a really big deal.
Best win ever? Dont know, lots of great ones.
Worst loss, easy one. During a "Bug in" in Las Vegas. I'm on my 1000cc 900 1985 Ninja- pretty stock 'cept the '87 1000 Ninja engine, Yosh pipe, K&N's, Dynojet stage 3 kit. I could run 11.3-5's @ 118 to 124 depending on heat, gearing etc. No wheely bar. Totally street legal. I'm in the left lane running for time. What pulls up? A pretty powder blue Beetle (mid 70's). I didn't know the car, but I see the little slicks and the black megaphone. I think oooooo he's probably got a big bore kit. Whats he got maybe double stock Hp? Triple? 120? I had my bike dynoed at 108 at the rear wheel. I wasn't too worried. I was just running for my personal best anyway. So we're staged. Lights drop, I leave clean, perfect, front tire at about 3 inches off the ground all through 1st gear. I noticed as I was badly spanking him off the line that he had stalled or nearly stalled as I see his front tires bouncing when his small wheely came down. WHA?! Oh well, time to shift, I'm tucked and just going through the gears bang bang bang. The finish line is screaming towards me, then I hear it. (And MY bike had a race baffle on the right side) I can hear it over my 11,000 rpm banshee wail that only a big Kawi with a race pipe can make. I look to the right just as a powder blue streak goes by me like I'm backing up. HOLY SHI*! I was proud of him. You could hear the stands go nuts. I was obviously not the hero of this story but I sure made him look good. So I went back to the stands to watch this guy. When he got a clean run in, He was going low 10's at high 130's. That was a real VW with a VW engine! It did also have a turbo and maybe juice. It was fun anyway, and I made him earn it.

Yep. It happens to be one of the, if not THE, worst track known to mankind and it's the closest one to Columbus. The best track around here is way up at Norwalk and I've never heard a bad word said about it, just like I've never heard a good word said about Trails. The only reason why Trails still exists is because it is the closest one and any other track is at least twice as far away. I cannot wait until I run at Norwalk, but I am not looking forward to the very long drive.
