Stage 1 installed today!
Congrats on the S1, If you don't mind tinkering you can do a lot with the stage 1. I'm still running mine, have over 15,000miles on the car and about 13,000 on the S1 with out a problem. About the top speed, i saw over a 160 on mine, and i'm not nuts( well ok maybe a little) enough to hold a camera while i do it. I have owned quite a few 200 plus mph crotch rockets so i'm not affraid of speed, its the impact with non/moveing objects that scare me. The road i get my srt-4, or bikes toped out on is about 10 miles long, two lanes, flat as a pancake, typical south texas, with no houses on either side, only mostly open farm/cattle land with the exception of one spot about half way that has some trees that grow over the road. Well the last time i made a 160mph run in the srt-4, this guy pulls out in front of me from behind the trees, after 16 years i have never, and i mean never seen a car or truck on this road other than mine! Well i slammed on the brakes, the harder i pushed the futher the pedal went town. This guy was going like 15 mph when he pulled out less than a quarter mile in front of me! And the srt was pitching all over the place, once i thought i was going to hit the ditch to keep from hitting the guy. He was probaly in his early 70's farmer type i noticed that much in his side mirror, with an , i dunno, guess 77 or 78 chevy 4x4 truck. I don't think the truck had a big lift on it but i swear i could count the bolts on his rear end i got so close, all twelve of them! I pulled off the road, no ditch here, and got out of the car and walked around, going damn that was to close, what if i had been on my bike? No way i could have slammed it down that fast! Well that did it for me and top end runs, better to have done it and talked about it, than done it and never been able to talk about it!
