Default console brake light

recently, about a month, i've noticed when make a quick start (when doesn't a srt-4 make a quick start?[8D]) from a stop, the brake light on my console turns on momentarily and then turns off right before i shift up gears (from 1st to 2nd). not all the time but often enough to have me concerned. no, i'm not red lining it before my shift but i do shift between the 3-4000 rpm range when this event occurs. loose wire or something more serious[:@]? the performance of my vehicle isn't at all impaired when this occurs. however when making wot shifts in the higher gears (love that back fire) no problems. maybe it's a sign from god, telling me to slow down.

Check your brake fluid and top it off, what happens is that the fluid level drops and when you punch it, the fluid sloshes away from the sensor, triggering the light

Hey, Dusty, ever heard of something called an "expert system"? If not, check into it. Good learning

A computer system that facilitates solving problems in a given field or application by drawing inference from a knowledge base developed from human expertise. Note 1: The term "expert system " is sometimes used synonymously with "knowledge-based system," although it is usually taken to emphasize expert knowledge. Note 2: Some expert systems are able to improve their knowledge base and develop new inference rules based on their experience with previous problems.

From here - http://www.its.bldrdoc.gov/fs-1037/dir-015/_2114.htm

Basically, your experienced workers enter their knowledge into a database kinda thing. It's a way to pass on accumulated experience. I have a problem with brakes, one caliper seems to be dragging, say. A really experienced tech found once that if the brake line fails a certain way, the inner lining of the hose can act llike a check valve, keeping pressure on that caliper. since he entered it into the expert system with linked keywords "caliper" and "drag", my search will find it.

It's kinda been overtaken by databases, info lines, and the net. It was a great concept. These kinds forums are a sort of expert system. Out of the 7000 plus members of the SRTforums, you are bound to find experts in almost any field. From aircraft weapons sytems to floral design.

I've wrenched on

AH-1W
UH-1N
SH-60B/F/
HH-60H
SH-3
SH-2
CH-53
CH-46

As a contracted maintainence tech at Rotary Wing Test Directorate at Pax River. don't ever complain about your fire bottles, other platforms have it much worse.

Now I'm a engineering tech, get to play with even more the new AH-1Z and UH-1Y, MV-22, KC-130J, and more Best job in the world!!!!!!!! For years I cursed those buggers that designed the stuff I worked on. I finally have the chance to talk right to them and tell them our side. 0200, in a driving rain, maybe 38 degrees, flashlight in your teeth is different than 1400 on a nice sunny ramp.

thanks for the intel, i'll check my brake fluid levels. on another topic, any of you experience battery leakage? on the top of my battery evidenced by the white residue we may all be familiar with. is it a heat problem? or should i opt to replace with a different battery? if so any suggestions? like before no starting problems, nor performance ones as well, just thoughtful concerns from an overprotective srt-4 owner.
