There is one running around my home town here and I haven't been able to "play" with him yet.

As for their quickness... I totally agree... we raced an STi on the infamous Woodward Ave. (Detroit, MI) with my college roommates 2001 Cobra last summer. The STi was very impressive and put some hurt down on us!!! The only advantage we had in the Cobra was the short throw shifter made grapping gears easier and helped gain a little on the guy... but all in all... he beat us from a stop light... our car was about to his B-pillar by the time we let off... so I know for a fact my stock little SRT will get it's @$$ handed to it if I race one of those things... given the driver isn't an idiot

 

You're right. With the Stage 2, and a Mopar/Borla exhaust plus a K&N intake, you'll take him though. For less than 3K in mods!!!!!!!!! Who's the Smart Shopper?????[sm=smiley4.gif]

 

Yeah, I handed an sti a whoopin'. Too bad it wasn't in my srt. Raced him in my buell. It wasn't even close....He seemed a little pissed. Next, I will repeat in the srt, it's all about American here.

 

I never got to play with the 1 STi I have seen. An SRT-4 should be able to hand an STi it's a** on the freeway, but 1/4 mile or less the SRT-4 is toasted. As the video from an STi says," it's a top end thing". If the STi beats you up on the top end, then it sure as hell ain't stock. If it kicks your a** from a light, it's supose to being 300 AWD HP.

 

I don't think an SRT4 would beat an STi on the freeway. I'm also not dissing on the SRT4, don't get me wrong. I respect the car, but keep in mind that it's still a Neon with a Turbo. I'd much rather be in the "heavier" and "slower" STi in the winter knowing I'll get where I'm supposed to get.

And to all the people saying how much money they have saved by not spending 35k for their car. Some people just have the money, and an STi or an Evo for that matter are definitely worth the extra money.

Yeah, it's like a Neon with a Turbo like a F-15 Eagle is like a Piper Cub with JATO (no, I'm not going to explain that to you, you obviously need to go to school a lot longer)

I don't think I need to go back to school. Second why all the hate, I just came to set something straight. And calling an STi a ricer just proves that you are the one that needs to go back to school. Neon and STI both have hood scoops and big wings, so if the STi is rice then so is the SRT4.

Think before posting, trust me it helps. FYI I'm not flaunting my money by the way. I just don't like ignorant people. You make of that statement whatever you want. I'm not saying my car is the best or any better than yours, but at least I don't run around flaming people for their choice.
