Seriously, a lot of the people down here (in Texas, especially Hispanics) take it to heart. Nothing against you personally, but I wouldn't jump into another car maker's forum and start making off the wall statements about their rides, dude. It's just not cool. Comprendo, amigo?

Oh I understand. I'm just against bashing somebody elses car. Most people don't understand that 99% of people don't get an STi because of speed.

I like the SRT-4. It's a sweet car. I've owned two Jeep's, so I definitely like DaimlerChrysler, and I applaud them for making the car.

I don't know, I guess I just want people to understand that Subaru has rally heritage, and their cars aren't rice which they are not, but rather toned down rally cars.

Apparently you haven't visited our "Sights & Sounds" forum where a guy in an STi(sorry, a modded WRX, but then again isn't an STi just a modded WRX in the first place) is filming what he believes will be his victory over an SRT-4 only to be humbled by it. Not only that, but you must not understand that it is well known that an SRT-4 has a higher top end then the STi and the EVO VIII, so it will beat them in a freeway romp.

Thats right, it's a Neon and an STi is just an Impreza and an EVO VIII is just a Lancer.

FYI: The Neon's since their inception have been dominating SCCA racing in their classes, so much so that they modified the rules so that the other cars in the same divisions could keep up. The Neon SRT-4 is currently dominating it's division in rally.

BTW: Rice is a term that is used to describe any and all Asian based cars, primarily the Japanese and Korean cars. Therefor the STi's and the EVO's are rice and the SRT-4 does not apply.

i have to disagree with you 71RoadRunner on one thing, the rice comment... and here's why:

i don't think rice is just asian/korean/etc. cars. An STi to me is not rice, a cavalier with a not needed big wing, fart can exhaust, and bad graphics is rice... even though the STi is 100% Japan (look at the sticker on the window) and cavalier is considered an "American" car...

all I am getting at is, to me - rice is an image... I have seen "riced" out S-10, Escorts, Neons, Hondas, etc... but to each their own... A poorly modded Cavalier is more rice to me than a factory STi, or Honda...

Why on gods green earth would you compare an SRT-4 to an EVO/STi/RX8/350/Z06? Different class of car first of all you are going to have to put allot more then 10k into SRT-4 to make it handle as well as any of the above cars (you wont be able to with that frame) so there goes your price advantage. and give up this dream of thinking people “respect� you in your neon. They don’t… just like they don’t respect people who drive Ferraris. Oh and while you’re out street racing I hope you hit a tree and die…. But bring the camera so we can recover it and watch you burn to death…..

I personally haved killed many an SRT on the highway. Don't underestimate the STi. And a Modded WRX is not an Sti. They don't share anything but the body. The differentials, brakes, transmission, suspension, and engine are all completely different.

no one should ever wish death upon someone else. everything we do can be dangerous... it just takes a good head to pull through safley. personally I think people like you need to stay away from cars period. it's all about the garage modders that try things the old fasion way and work up to their perfection. not some dude that speds a grip of cash and has no idea what really is going on... I bet you have gotten smoked by an SRT-4 and that's why you are sooo angry....
