I can agree with that last statement, I'm into almost any car that someone has put some wrench time into. Foreign or domestic it's all about the love of the vehicle and enjoying our toys.

Sorry, didn't direct towards the right statement. New to this forum stuff. This was in regards to the statement a that we are all car guys and shouldn't put hate on other car owners.

 

Not a problem. I agree that some car models/makes are favored by members of the "freak sex", but I hadn't heard of the Subaru Connection until now....interesting....[sm=smiley5.gif]

 

I dated a girl who later became bisexual, and guess what she drove, A neon expresso! That kinda turned me off of neons, but luckily the new neon looks very different from that. The sentra is another car to stay away from. And the new beatle is another lesbian car. Think about it and look the next time you see these cars, I guarantee that you will see some of the "freak Sex" driving them. Just wanted to let others know before they buy, and what does that mean if someone was interested in buying one? Something to think about. PEACE

I find it rather ridiculous that people would consider staying away from cars because gays drive them. It makes little to no sense. Are you comparing gay people to criminals on harleys? hah. A car is a car, all types of people own them. How many SRT-4's, STi's etc do you think get sold world wide? It may have tons of social attatchments, so if you ride on that, consider yourself blind.

Anyways, it's the same reason I stay away from gay bars, I have been told that theres lots of women there and no compitition, but I just don't like that lifestyle or what is associated with it. It has been said that you are what you drive. The new bettle is the best handling vw, but I would never buy one, unless it was way to cheap to pass up and was a tdi, but anyways if you think that people stay away from things just because of the people that do like them. A lot of people talk about japanese cars as rice burner, get down on them, they need to be reformed as well. Mini vans are only for soccer moms, you should buy one of those as well, don't want to get down on the minivan...ect. I think your blind for not knowing the history and attraction of cars for people. The subaru is the lesbian pickup truck, the outback. Your to consernded with being politcally correct. I wasn't getting down on lesbian, never mentioned gays, so.....look at the marketing.....is that what YOU want to be associated with?

 

lesbians are 'gay' first of all lol. Second of all, I've seen quite a few gay men driving SRT-4's with about 20grand in them lol. Does that bother me? No, they know their cars, they have more money than most people so they can take better care of them and, well, they usually look better in them too. So what's your point? haha. I don't care about being politically correct at all. I'm simply saying that you're applying stereotypes that really don't exist. Your experiences alone cannot sufficiently account for the ammount of drivers out there.

 

I had forgotten all about the Subaru/lesbian thing, until I clicked on your link. Then it all came back to me and I remember those commercials. They were heavily advertising the Subaru wagons, mainly the Legacy, as the lesbian choice.[sm=smiley24.gif]
