This was some truck with no rear or front license plates AT ALL. I flew by the CT trooper who was waiting to pull them over. There was two guys in the truck, and damn was it fkn scary! Especially since I didnt know the damned things could MOVE that fast! And if any of you know the RI/CT border, that was at least 2-3 miles of 150ish.

A stock car tops out at 153mph. A car with stage 1 can surpass that. It depends on the car itself though, as my friend anthony's car only tops out at 140, his is an 05.

I didn't see the movie, but I bet your *** it was him!!!

 

The interstates around here are so clogged with truck traffic from Mexico that any high speed runs are out of the question. It's gotten so bad they are starting to do something I thought I would never see in Texas, build toll roads to run parallel to the interstates. I guess if we wanna go fast, we're going to have to pay for it!!

Damn! Again with the 2005's being slow! Whaaahhh why does my '05 have to be slower than the rest? I'm still all stock, but I have been waiting for a week now for the stage2 kit (exhaust and BOV also) to arrive at my dealer. I just called and they said they have to call Mopar because it "should have been here by now". I have to wait until April 1st for the dragstrip to open just to see how much slower my car really is!

It's probably been delayed because of the holidays. I've had similar problems around this time of the year with stuff I've ordered. People just seem to take a lot of time off, party too much, etc.

When i first got my car i heard all the rumors about these cars having a limiter on them so i decided to take it out and test the limits....I-76 east in colorado for those who dont know is all open highway that leads to all the lil hick towns up in northern colorado,I tagged 145mph on the way there i was sittin at about 5000 rpm's.So on the way back i decided to give it another try i pulled 152mph on the way back sitting at about 5800rpm's,talk about a rush..I think the coolest thing is it will do 150 and it only takes a short period of time to get there...

Sad to report my lil neon won't be making the trip to Colorado with me. The property is flat enough, in fact when I went there last year, my rental car was a neon. However, that was spring and the snow had melted in the San Luis Valley. I'll need something with more ground clearance and the ability to carry some cargo like firewood......... a pickup for sure, maybe a 4X4.....

good to see you made it through that safely spark god was on your side i been up to 140 when i had an 93 mr2 that was scary havent done speeds remoetly that fast in about 8 years turning 30 next week gotta start thinking about the future with how i drive. take it easy everyone there are way to many unforseen circumstances.
