I noticed that also and I just wipe off the white residue and keep an eye on it.

The MSD wires have a 90 degree bend on the #4 wire so you don't have to worry about it sitting right over the turbo, which is the problem with the stock wires- also, for a cheaper fix, there are a couple other threads which tell you where to get head shrouds for the stock wires. Dusty posted it somewhere in here...

Thats the way to go, I did. Although I already had the MSD Super Conductor wires and coil which I took off my R/T before selling it. The MSD's are only $40.[sm=smiley20.gif]

The cheapest fix I've come across are the spark plug wire sheaths from Summit Racing (on the net, too) for $7 for a package of four. They're made of a fiberglass type material with a silver coating and slip right over the wire covering it and part of the boot. I only used them on the #3 and #4 wires after I saw the wires turning white by 900 miles. I went ahead and later got a set of MSD wires from Modern Performance...
Hell, if you want, send me a SASE and $2 and I'll give you the 2 "extra" sheaths...
PM me for my address.....

Plug wires yes, due to the above mentioned problem. Your "coil" should be OK for 75K miles+ but MSD makes a good unit ....I would get a oil catch can first, and work from there...[&:]

I just put in a catch can a couple of weeks ago and the damn thing had oil in it after only a couple of drives. I had no idea that there was that much oil in the air. It was easy to install and all the parts were at home depot. I used rezin8s tutorial. I do suggest however using black fuel hose instead of clear hose from OSH. The clear hose collapsed because of the heat. I did use a small section after the catchcan just to see if oil was getting passed. It's definately a good mod.

A big 10-4 on that!!! I used the semi-clear hose that came with the GReddy can, but I also bought some of the hose I mentioned in another thread, just in case...[&:]
