It doesn't matter which mod gets made when, as long as the battery is disconnected to reset everything and put the PCM into learn mode. This will make it adjust to everything that has been done to it.[sm=smiley2.gif]

 

I didn't have any problems with any rubbing or contact anywhere. Joining the upper and lower halves wasn't too bad, but it was a little annoying. Mine doesn't contact the hood at all or the inner fender. At first it was contacting the front of the hole in the inner fender, but I loosened the nut that holds it to the inner fender in the engine compartment and moved it back as far as I could, and that fixed that since the hole in that mounting bracket tab is slotted for adjusting. My only fitment issue is with the intake air temperature sensor, the hole in the CAI is too far away from where it use to be, so I had to cut some of the tape to get it to reach. The rest fits perfect.[sm=smiley20.gif]

 

Glad to hear it worked out for you. Can't remember if you got stage 1 or not, if you don't get it or s2 it really brings the car to life with the cat back and CAI. Another good mod to go along with that is the walbro fuel pump, it will surprise you much the stock injectors can put out, but be warned, you will be fueling up more.....[&o]

 

With the price of premium here in Texas, that's not good....[:'(]

Damn, first good shot I've seen of how bad the harness gets yanked. Do watch that, the motor has a goodly amount of rocking towards the rear under max load. I wonder if that TIP sensor can move without affecting the inputs any. I can't imagine any reason why not, it's a pressure sensor, Throttle Inlet Pressure, to be exact. So as long as you are in that neighborhood, it should be okay. It doesn't interface with the fender in any way, like protrude through, like the MAP sensor does. I know this replacing it is part of the Stage 2 install.

 

Yeah, I need to get around to cutting more of the tape to relieve some more of the stress on that and then retape it all back up. According to the instructions it is the intake air temperature sensor. I have seen several the have theirs either mounted elsewhere or just put off to the side and not even in the CAI tube. One was a K&N FIPK and it had the sensor mounted on one of the "walls" of the kit. One or two were just laying loose and the rest were in the pipe like mine, but they were all different CAI kits.

 

Hey RR did you have any problems getting the hose for the OCC onto the K&N? I got the same size as the other side but it won't go on as easily as the other side did. Here are some pics of mine.
