nice pics guys! i just got mine installed and 71rr you are so right about the spooling, i didn't think my srt-4 could get louder that the bov and borla exhaust, but boy was i wrong. pick up from wot accelerations was signifigantly increased. mid range torque seemed beefed up too somehow. and with the rear sway front and rear strut towers accompanying my stage 3 coilover kit.... the boys in autocross better watch out.

71RR,

I was talking about the one that is at the other end of that harness, the block shaped one that sits in a metal bracket on the fenderwell. IT has two black plastic rivet kinda things that hold it to the fenderwell.

Hey RR did you have any problems getting the hose for the OCC onto the K&N? I got the same size as the other side but it won't go on as easily as the other side did. Here are some pics of mine.
Yes, that is where I knew that I would have problems. The typical hose has threading in it that will not allow the same flexability as the silicon hose that comes with the K&N. If you notice in my second picture, I use a small part of the silicon hose from the K&N kit to attach to the K&N pipe and then a 3/8" double male fitting to connect it to the regular 3/8" host that goes to the OCC. And of course, you can run the regular hose from the OCC into the valve/cam cover. BTW: Your K&N is lookin' good.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

The one with the white vacuum line attached to it? It should be fine if it were moved to another location.

Yep, that's the one. Since it's measuring ambient air pressure, I'm sure you could move it an inch or two with no issues. I'm sure they put it there so it would be as close to the intake point as possible. , heck, if you wanted to ge tfancy, you could make some standoffs for it. It hardly weighs anything, so strength is not a major issue.

To remove it, just use a stubby straight slot to pry up on those center plugs right where they are grooves in the outer section. It's some kind of funky pressure fit dohicky (sorry for the tecnical terms and all) Kind of like a drywall anchor.

I thought that might be what you were refering to, but I know that the stretch won't be an issue after I get it seperated a little more and tape it back up.

Thanks RR, you are a smart man. I ended up going to all of the Auto Zone's, Checker's, and finally at Pep Boys I ended up buying some 7/16" fuel line hose to fit the K&N. It fit the K&N fine but too big for the 3/8" male barb. I guess I'll go back out today for a double-sided male barb. Thanks for the tip there.

Your welcome as always.[sm=smiley2.gif] I figured that I would be getting more oil in this OCC than the one in my PCV line, because this one has nothing to restrict it whereas the PCV valve should cause some restriction on it's end. I get more oil in the PCV OCC than I do in the CAI OCC, I would have figured it to be the other way around. The CAI OCC took a while before it showed any oil, but as I knew, it eventually did. I may eventually cap off the CAI's hose attachment and run the hose from the valve/cam cover over to the OCC from the PCV valve and T it into it. This should simplify it and clean it up a bit as well.
