P 0551... I just got this code today, can anyone please help me with this? I checked my sensors and stuff and everything seems good, no backfire or anything odd. Car is running normal, check engine light came on during a canyon run! DAMMIT! Please helP![:@]

What exactly does this mean?

 

reset the ecu and see if it comes back. it might have just had a brain fart....they do that.

hey my engine light came on today...........and i tryed the on and off trick 3 times.but its not showing any codes.....and my car is running great........i should reset my computer????

I wouldn't just reset it untill you find out why it came on,CEL's dont usually just come on for the hell of it..Get a scan tool

 

were does a scan tool hook into.the computer i take it??........can i get one from autozone maybe?

 

My Ram had the light come on and it was my battery getting old and low on juice. The was not enough power for the computer system. I put in a new battery and it went out.

 

yea its probably something minor i hope.....car only has 8560 miles

 

My light never came back on. Just that once and that was it.
