Default gto vs srt-4

Hey guys just wondering about something. Can a 05-srt-4 with mm,intake, open downpipe, hardpipes, wga, fmic and a good driver beat a stock 05-06 gto? i was just wondering.I know this is a stupid post and all.And there is not going to be a race between me and a gto, like i said just wondering.I have herd all kinds of things about what they run.i have herd 0 to 60 in 6flat 4.8 5.3 and i have seen one on street fire.net get beat by a srt-4 with just a wga and turboback! Thanks guys ERIC

Yes, the GTO stock will lose to any SRT-4....the weight difference is the real factor... 900lbs from the get go...

Well with those modd yes you could beat a stock GTO. Stock GTO's with a good driver can hit mid's 13's. And I wouldn't run a GTO past 120mph cause unless your srt-4 has over 300HP you don't have much pull but the GTO's keep pulling pretty hard to about 140mph.

The LS1 was in the early GTO models....as the later models have the LS2 V8 400hp/400lbs torque...

Here's the problem though....they have traction issues just like the Mustangs....altho not nearly as bad. The stock suspension is crap compared to the aftermarket stuff...and that really makes a bigger difference on these cars.

FYI - All that extra HP is zapped by the additional weight. That's why the skittle doesnt have so much hp.....it doesnt weigh ****....and since it doesnt....its capable of being extremely fast with what it has.

Think about it...it takes more power to move the car the same distance when it weighs more....

Yup, pay more attention to power to weight ratios than to just HP numbers............
