Glad you brought that to my attention. I was considering getting the AEM here soon.

I guess I will be scratching AEM of my intake list. Thank you for bringing this up to us. Sorry for what happened to you!

Isn't that covered under warranty? I have a 01 and planning to put on a AEM on mine but I don't want that to happen to my car.

AEM should definitely do a little money refundage, but probably no such luck. I had the AEM CAI. Wonder if it will do the same or hurt my chances of selling it.

I talked to them today. The guy wants pictures and an invoice. I was calm and respectful to him stating that Ive had intakes on my other vehicles with no issues like this whatsoever. He never said it was "installer error" because as I explained to him, maybe that would be the case if it were just a few of them. But the increasing number of them that this is happening to on SRTs is kind of astounding.

The other funny part....all of the intakes this happens to are polished, and not red or blue.

Ill keep you guys posted. I sent him pictures but I have to head back to the body shop for the invoice....which he better have.

Actually that happend to 3 other's over here. 2 were blue, the other was polished. That is just one of many of the reason's why I hate the the AEM short ram. The CAI is a little different although i'm not a fan of that one as well but the short ram is a nightmare!

Well I bought it in 04, and back then it was the one for the right price equaling the price of the stock intake setup, which needed to be replaced because of my accident.

The JMB Ultimate is a beautiful setup, and may be next.
