Stage 1 "not worth it" ?
All it says is misfire cylinder 4 or misfire cylinder 1. I have done some research and this is an ongoing problem with other srt's. They are suggesting ngk's gapped at .40 before use and replacing the stock wires with new stock wires. I wish I hadn't of bought those damn stage 2 co's. I would have been able to buy all the new ignitions stuff. I won't get my car back until Monday so this weekend I will have to find a local place to buy the new wires and plugs. Until I see the dealer I will just have to wait and see what they are going to do with it all.
If you guys don't mind helping me. I read a couple of posts that said that the dealer has a message saying that misfires are becoming common and they have procedures to fix this problem. I don't know if it's a tsb but the dealer want to make money too. Thanks

When I first heard about your problem, I wondered if you still had the stock plug wires on. Since other people's are melting, thought yours might have started. Any chance plugs are fouled from not having the oil catch can?
I have the 20 occ. I do have the stock wires also. I frequently checked mine for melting and it did have the white residue on them. I usually just wiped it off. I lived in monterey, ca where the ambient temp was around 65 to 70 degrees so it never seemed to get that hot under the hood. I do know that it does but never hot enough to melt the wires. Since I am now in D.C. and my car was in the socal area when the CEL came on I never thought that could have been it. I know now that I need to upgrade the plugs and wires. Probably going with the denso kit. My OCC catches alot of oil and my exhaust tips are still black. Probably black becuse I just ain't gettin enough spark! As soon as I get my car back that will be the next upgrade.
I also want to thank everyone for their concerns and suggestions. This is why we have forums. I appreciate everyones help and will definately keep updating.

I have 2 OCC, one on each hose, and I have the carbon in the tail pipes as well. I haven't seen a car that doesn't, except my Roadrunner but it runs on 110 octane.[sm=smiley36.gif]
Black tips here too. Remember, this car uses extra fuel to manage cylinder head and exhaust manifold temps. How it knows how to do this is some pretty involved stuff, with algorithms and crazy math stuff. Point is, if your exhaust tips are black, it's becuase PVO/SRT figures they need to be that way
I trust them

Here's a real challenge, find a car that isn't brand new, under 1,000 miles, that doesn't have the inside of their exhaust tips blackened. It's just a by product of the combustion process, it's gonna happen. Hybrid or alternative fuel powered cars are excluded.[sm=smiley2.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
Well here's the update:
Misfire cylinder #2
Replaced injector #2
Problem solved. It idles smooth and runs great. Took it kinda easy. Not sure if there is a break in on the injectors but I don't plan on racing any time soon. Next thing is to get the denso plugs and wires kit to help the spark. Should be gtg from there. Once again, thanks to everyone for your help and support.
