Speed Limiter question
Beats my high at 153... Nice
I will say one thing, though. The car was totally comfortable and stable at that speed.
I took a couple of turns at 135 and it felt great.
It seems like the "functional" spoiler and the "functional" Splitter under the bumper really are functional. I heard that at 145 the car is supposed to have the exact same pressure on the road as at a stand still. I now believe it.
Agree, one of the many great things about this car is that the faster it goes, the more stable it becomes and the better it feels. PVO did their homework in this area!!
Well if you want to talk about top speed at rev limiter in top gear andybuzz2u, make sure you know theguy your trying to talk to. I drive porsche every day. One of my customers that I built a motor(911 TWIN TURBO) for has a top speed of 230 and that is bouncing off the rev limiter that is raised from stock by lap top. We could get more speed out of it but they don't make a seven speed for it. This car will smoke most bike out on the street from light to light or top speed. So maybe your typical Joe Blow may not drive cars that redline in top gear but there are some like myself.
So maybe you should check yourself before opening your MOUTH!!!

Right before his tranny explodes and he finds out the factory forgot to put grease in his rear wheel bearing......
oh wait the put in the wrong grease and it caught fire and the car just blew up so now that his 3 million dollar camera is back from the shop he no longer has any opportunity to snap us those pics.
Don't forget that those bolt on the flywheel were loose and that is why the tranny went.
Then he can run that 600 horsepower VW R32 again and win.[sm=rolleyes.gif][sm=smiley29.gif]

have to say B/S on that. A 911 twin would not go 230mph if it was pushed off a mile high cliff. You should check before you open your mouth. With a 7 speed the first gear ratio would be so low you would have to push it with another car to get it going, aka formula 1. Team porsche only hits 197 mph maybe you should go to work for them and win them some trophies since thye cant build there own motor right.

A built twin turbo Porsche Slantnose will due 230(which you have probally never seen since they are rare). This Porsche will jerk the fron wheel on a wild take off and smoke the 03 GSXR 1000 at top speed!!!! I have drove and riden in it the customer was getting on it harder then I would(since it isn't my car) It was dynoed at 750hp and 980 ft lbs of torque at the wheels. The engine has over $100,000 worth of mods and still reliable for a daily driver if he chose to do that, but it only sees weekends with very nice days!!! I am not the type of person to B/S like some other people do on here. If you like I will send you pics of a 911 Turbo I have apart now, we are only doing about 40,000 worth of work to this but it will still be fast when done. It's really funny that people think just because they have a Porsche that they should be able to beat Turbo Honda's, then they come in to see how much it is going to make their car able to do that. Most don't even bother but then we have some customers that have bottomless pockets, unlike myself. LOL
