I remember it too and boy did Dodge's website lie about there being a limiter. I just went by what they said just to find out that they're full of sh*t as none have ever been held to that alleged limit.

well from what ive experienced, a stock srt-4 is capable of 160+ i hit 160 with more throttle to go at about 5600-5700rpm i didnt want to hit the rev limiter and risk blowing the engine or the turbo but i was screwing so to answer the questions, it goes faster than they say it can but revs off when you risk chipping up your pistons and cylinders

 

What do lowering springs and camber have to do with a speed limiter???

 

HMM I HAVE A DOGE SRT 2004
and on a red light a honda accord stopt i was face to face the car lockt like its fast i was turnning too the interstate and hi was write behind my after the green light.
i was driving around 110MPH and the honda accord was behind my his car head a eXH and a spoiler.soo i know his GONA race my soo i speedet up up too 126MPH
the honda pest my just like sooo fast hmmm i stept harder on the gas peddle but my car its doing allmost 140MPH and his faste hi was doing more then 160MPH or faster
it was a honda accord lx.
i wondert how fast did hi go.
i was allredy fast my car whont go any faster then 138mph
must bee speed limited.... i check at the dodge company and ther told my all doges srt have a speed limiter at 138MPH over driving 138 will blow up the engine but whayy

So what is it, 137 mph to 179 mph...126 to 160 -how did you pick those numbers - out of a hat???? Why lie? I promise you have no idea what you are talking about if you are saying that your srt-4 stopped accelerating at 138(as you said originally). Unless you stop pushing the gas pedal, the car will easily exceed that - and please show me the accord that does 179 mph.
