19 PSI
I have recently found that I'm getting anywhere from 17 to 19 PSI under certain circumstances. In 4th or 5th gear, at about 1200 RPM, if I floor the throttle, I can watch the boost gauge sweep over to 17 to 19 psi (depending on the weather). Anyone else seen this in their cars? All I have done is the BOV, nothing else. I will try to get a pic of the gauge while it happens, if I remember to take my digital camera in the car with me.

It's easy, I do it all the time when I come upon someone going too slow.[sm=smiley2.gif] At 1,500 RPM in 4th and 5th gear and flooring it, it has to fall on it's face until it hits 2,500-3,000 at least.
wouldnt it work better to down shift to the right gear for the speed?

Can you say sudden death....Cause thats what your doing to your motor. You can be going 35 in fifth and floor it and the boost gauge will hit 30psi, it back fires and pops the bov to release the charge. Your computer thinks it pushing a brick wall....do your car a favor down shift and stomp it...it will love you more.

Yep, what andy and other said, it's not ggod for the car, and there is no call for it. If you are hammering the throttle at that RPM you are NOT driving it properly. Be nice to it
Read your owners manual, it gives suggested shift points for maximum performance. Page 87.

No. Mine gets between 13-15 PSI boost max. I've never tried flooring it at that low an RPM, I come close though but it's in first gear at the time and it spools up damn quick. You may have a leak if your getting 19 PSI or it could just be from it trying it's best to meet your demands at such a low RPM causing it to spike up so high.
