Having Problems
i've installed one raptor and it was a pain in the ***! sounds ok though. only issue after the install is about three months later it started leaking from the bov itself and a replacement was needed (no warranty btw). not sure if that was an isolated case or not, but that's been my only experience with it.
i already took off the rice plate and put it back stock with a different factory valve. when i was running the boost leak detector yesterday it was leaking from the third bolt side of the stock converter plate. i know that its tight enough and its not near as bent as other ones i have seen so i dunno. the factory plates didnt come with a gasket did they? i cant remember
ok so i told yall that i broke the vacuum line running off the exhaust side of the turbo. theres a port right beside the factory bov that has a rail where the blue wire is conncected. does anyone know if this is a check valve cause when i TRIED to fix it i just replaced it with a hose and a conector. im usre everything is tight and didnt feel any air coming through it when i put the boost leak on there but i am concerned that its supposed to be a check valve as opposed to just a regular vacuum. i know that my problem is something stupid and simple but i feel like i have exhausted every possible route tryin to fix this situation and i am completely and utterly dumbfounded and confused and pissed and clueless and any other emotion that yall can think of to add to that
so you got any idea of what vac. line im talkin about? i cant remember the correct terminology for it but its the rail the blue vacuum hose connects to. that (the blue line) is actually the part that broke off. now this was causing my car to idle funny but was getting all 15 psi. now the car idles fine and is not boosting worth a ****. i even had a srt mechanic look at it and i know that he is more than qualified. hes got 6 srts laying around and hes the guy that everyone around here takes their car to when its fouled up.he replaced my factory valve with a different one that seemed to be sealing better than mine and it had no affect. maybe i can steal that vacuum cluster off one of his junk cars and see what that does
