Grand AM vs SRT-4
He is a newb. He thinks just because its a v6 it will be better. Im a newb and i know that at least. I know that the srt-4 can even give some v8's a competion. I went to the drag strip with my friend and the srt-4 was keeping up with is camaro ss stock. But the srt-4 had a turbo upgrade
You're going to get ALOT of feedback on this, dude, just be aware.......[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
lol alright. I have another question but this is off the topic. When you do a burnout before a 1/4 mile run all you do is stay in first, hold the clutch down, rev to 3500 rpms, and quickly let go of the clutch?
srt will smoke a grand am stock. i have on 03 stock and i beat my friends modded 2002 GTP. so hands down you should be hitting low 14's high 13's with out a problem. as far as the burnout, you shouldnt have to if you have the srt you have performance tires on there. word of advice, when your going up to start go around the watter they spray on the track you dont need to wet your tires, also launch low around 1700-2000rpm other wise you'll just spin your way threw first and most of second...
The 2000 Grand Am GT couldn't beat an SRT-4 even if you pulled two plug wires off the SRT-4.[sm=smiley36.gif] Here are how the two stack up against each other:
2000 Grand Am GT
Weight: 3,091 lbs.
Horsepower: 175
Torque: 205
0-60 MPH: 7.7 sec.
1/4 mile: 15.9 sec.
2004 SRT-4
Weight: 2,868 lbs.
Horsepower: 230
Torque: 250
0-60 MPH: 5.3 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.9 sec.

does your buddy think his stock Grand Am can beat Mustang GT's??? Cause my stock SRT can beat GT's (and their V8's) [sm=trust_me.gif]
if you lose to him, you have to sell your car... it's a rule... sorry
hahaha...

I've gotta second that statement.[sm=exactly.gif] If you cannot take out a stock Grand Am with an SRT-4, then you need something with an automatic and less power.[sm=smiley2.gif] Actually, I think that they come and reposess your car after the PCM records a loss to a lesser vehicle like the Grand Am GT.[sm=goodidea.gif][sm=interesting.gif][sm=ts.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]
Actually PVO (no, they didn't disband, they went underground to become "hit men") will put out a "contract" out on you and strike when you are eating at an Italian restaurant...[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
