I never said it was a "test car" and since it was his own, I have even more doubt.

That's not the issue though, you made the RIGHT decision to buy a SRT-4 and I believe you'll be 100% happy with the car. You'll be smokin' 95% of the cars out there w/o any mods on your part, if you add Stage 1 or 2, the numbers will only go up. If you like modding cars, this is the perfect choice. Welcome to the "club"!!!!

that has got to be the stupidest arguement ive ever seen on here..and ive been involved with some STUPID arguements...

a grand am gt??? come on now..anyone who thinks that any grand am..ANY GRAND AM..with a factory engine, NA, could come close to ANY srt-4 (with a half competant driver), is a complete and utter jackass. those numbers posted on her eare from a test course, with a professional driver...so that the BEST a professional driver could get. my RT runs low 16s, and ive beaten down several grand am GTs. this past weekend at the mopar nationals, while there were a few low 12s et SRT4s, most of them were running an awful 14.40. i still think theyre cool, but guys missing shifts and whatnot. plus, im fairly sure the grand am is governed, where the SRT4 is not, if im not mistaken...a grand am gt is hardly competition for my RT...let alone an SRT-4.

BadStratRT,
It wasn't my intention to make an argument out of an undocumented run by a GM product at a GM meet. I do my best to avoid conflicts with other members especially considering as a moderater, I represent DF and Amanda as well. My only concern was a lack of documentation for the time stated. As you know, we had this problem before with another member. The person who made the initial posting is buying a SRT-4, so he obviously isn't a "bad guy"!!!!!!![sm=itsok.gif]

oh..it wasnt my attention to really aim that at anyone..just in general...

thats like saying.."i raced someone in a viper, and he stalled it at the line, and i won...in my ramcharger"..with a bad enough driver..anything could lose to a yugo...(sorry srt-ya) the best ive EVER seen a grand am gt run was mid 15s..and it was modded and stripped out..

theyre JUNK.

There is one Pontiac that the SRT-4's need to fear and that is the new GTO. It doesn't beat the SRT-4, but it is a perfect match for it though. Both turned 0-60 in 5.3 and the 1/4 mile in 13.9, now isn't that erie.[&:] I think that their top ends are about the same as well.

i pulled up TO a light next to some middle age turd in the holden last night, and revved my engine...now, im WELL aware that my rt wont stay with the holden, but i thought id see what it had...he glances over and says "you arent worth my time *sshole.." so i revved again...to the rev limiter...then put it in gear, and lurched forward and chirped the tires...the light turned green..and he didnt even try...so..i beat a holden.. but those are the kinds of people who buy them...middle age turds with lots of cash, and no *****.

only middle age people with lots of cash and no ***** bought the 04 GTO. The 05 GTO is armed with the 6.0L LS2 pushing 400hp/395tq, dual exhaust(opposite side exits), and an auto-x package is supposed to be available. The msrp is only supposed to go up$500 or so, but the dealers will give it a nice hike. I personally would like to see Ford make that kind of power NA out of a small block. I can't wait to see what the 07 Camaro will do(even though I think they are bringing back the wrong f-body)

Dusty,
After talking to my friend last night, he did not have any bolt-on's or internal mods, but he did have the computer tweaked. I wasn't aware of this, so I conceed.
