Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, but wouldn't the SRT-4 just walk all over the Grand Am in every way, shape, and form?? With the right driver, the SRT will run high 13s stock in the 1/4 mile. I doubt any Grand Am will compete with that. Even the Grand Am GT loaded is still under 200 hp.

While it MIGHT be possible to hit 14s with a stock 2000 Grand AM GT, I can find no evidence of anyone doing it. As long as you dont suddnely have you right foot fall off, there is no danger of losing. Go to gaownersclub.com then go to SRTforums.com, check the 14 mile times on both. The best of thiers are in the high 14s, modded. Anyone with times higher than mid 14s in an SRT should be embarrased unless it's the first time they have ever driven, or they are in Colorado Most first time drivers get mid-to high 14s, then drop times from there.

I've come across several Grand Am GTs around here, and all of them have declined to "play". glhs837 is probably right.

I know its not stock but there is a grand am on display in the hallway at my work.
the owners somehow managed to get a small block chevy 350 and a 700R4 tranny in it.
I know its a little off topic but I thought it was interesting cause its been compleatly riced out but it has a muscle car drive line

The guy who chose that paint job HAS to be color blind....ugh!! Also, I notice they seemed to have made this a rolling ad for a stereo system, not a real performance car. O well, each to their own. It's a free country, thank goodness, otherwise we'd all probably be in jail!!!!!!![sm=icon_cheers.gif]
