for some reason i couldn't get better than 14.1 at the tracks yesterday? my reaction times were were pretty slow but the track that i went to, supposedly thatdoesn't matter.from what i wastold,timing doesn't start until your tires move. maybe it's just my traction??? i don't know?? or i'm just a bad driver?? LOL! any suggestions? THANKS

I'm not sure that a 14.1 is that bad, you shouldn't necessarily believe everyone elses claims to 13 second times. I have never taken mine to the track but when I do I'm figuring on aiming for mid to high 13's. Anything better is great, anything worse I'd probably attribute to my 60 foot times, weather, altitude, different variables.

I know the first timeI went to the track I was disappointed! I ran a 14.2's 3 times in a row. The kid I bought it from said he had been 13.5 in it. I was like wtf guess he lied to me.I didn't think I did that bad but it was my first time so I had to blame myself. I found for me it was all in how you drive it. Eventually I did make it to the 13.5 2 with practice. Its mostly in the 60ft to hard on the gas and you get tire spin or to easy, both resulted in poor times. I found that I couldn't floor it in 1st or 2nd because it would spin so I just had to feel for it and stay righton that edge.Also how quick you can get the gears, without missing[:@]
keep trying ull get it worked out.
also that is correct the time does not start until yourtires move. depending on how your staged and the trackssetupthey can move up to 6 inches before the time starts. Stage as shallow as possible just barely turn that light on it will help get a little better E.T because you get that 6 inch rolling start.

your driving it wrong.My first time was last weak, my first run was 13.8.So I took a little bit of air out my tires and did a small burnout before I raced and nailed a 13.5(street tires).I have the same mods that you have....except you got msd wires andfmic and I'm running with the stock one.Here's what I did, hope it helps.First of all don't floor it.Wait for the light, rev it up to 1500rpms or a little bit higher, then push on the gas, DON'T FLOOR IT!!...just push on it, then when you finally hook up wish will be in 2nd floor it.Also you need to powershift, or WOT shift however you wanna call it.wot shifting is when you shift without lifting your foot of the gas, just clutch and gears.Thats what I did and I only ran 2 times, pretty sure if I woul've ran a few more times I woul've gotten a better time.What are you boosting?try squeezing a few more psi out of your wga, might help too.

It's impossible to say he's driving wrong without more information.

exactly my thoughts. how can you know how he's driving if we don't know what his timeslip looked like or were told how he was launching, shifting, etc.

that was a wild guess....but I'm pretty sure he's flooring it in 1st....but I guess we'll need a time slip.I bet his 60ft was something around 2.4 or 2.5

buy some drag radials and lower the psi to 15 and heat them up and you will be in the 13.00s
