True... and if you really dont think your going to use the Toys if you end up racing it at the track or whateverthen dont get it. Me, for example, I'm not big on racing now BUT, I may get into it later when my car gets where I want it to beso I'm getting the option just in case. Is the stage 1 pcm hard to replace? Or do you just disconnect/connect a few wires?

 

Well actually I'd be installing a Stage 1 PCM not replacing it. How difficult is this?

 

no difficult at all.. it is right next to the left headlight.. you undo some stuff and it comes out easy!!

 

there is absolutely nothing "wrong" with stage 2. the issue with the ic sprayer is that it leaks, nothing that a little glue won't fix. DAB is a great feature, more than any mbc or ebc can possibly do. plus s2 has been known to be able to hold HOM with 93 and w/i, so even if you don't use race gas it's still possible to benefit from the little red button.

if you want to go the s2 route though i would suggest getting a used s2 w/toys ecu and getting the toys box from n2mb. it works out being much cheaper that way.

 

The stage 1 is the best bang for the buck, I use stage 1 ecm, injen intake, Mopar catback, stage 2 wastegate set to 15 psi and damn car is fast, alot faster than the satge 0 set up. I have read that the stage 1 when moded like mine is faster than the stage 2, dyno has proven this.. like I said what I have read on the SRT Forums.

Does anyone have a "How To" on installing a Stage 1 pcm. I'm not too mechanically inclined but I really wanna do it myself. Also I heard the factory directions that come with it aren't to straight forward.

 

I just put my s1 last week. it's easier to take the bracket off that the pcm mounts to. also here is a video about s1 vs s2. with the right mods I believe s2 can be really fast.
