DEALER VISITS
I was talking with some friends yesturday and one of them used to work at a dodge dealer as a porter. He told me that SRT 4's used to come in often for manufacturer defects. He told me it was things like sensors and other bull**** things like that. I'd like to hear everyones opinion as well your personal experiences in visiting the dealer for any problems. I had also heard before that the transmissions on these cars go bad fast. Is that true? I'm just asking cause If I mod it too much and somethings messes up I have to take everything off before going to the dealership.
You're probably right, Roach. Notice that he said "used to work as a porter" ...I doubt if his technical expertise is anything to be in awe of!!!!
my slave cylinder went at 2500 miles. replaced under warranty, no questions asked. my tranny has been crap since day 1 and they refuse to fix it.
the 03 cars have had some issues with the tranny, but it was fixed for 04. that's why i'm switching trannys...if the dealer won't fix it i'll do it myself.

8200 miles, drove from seattle to oklahoma and back- no problems at all. changed the oil at 2500 and 6250 miles, and that's all i've done maintenence-wise. wait, i just remembered- at about 1000 miles i had an engine mount bolt (not the torque mounts) back out of the fender and snap- they had to drill it out and replace it, but that happened b/c some ninny at the factory didn't torque it properly, and they fixed it no questions. other than that, not a problem.
