i'm a NEWBIE.

I've been reading all of the posts the past couple of days. I have a 2000 ram 1500 sport 4x4 5.2L. This site has plenty of info concerning me for sure. I've got a little shop experience but mostly on Hondas. The best thing about my Dodge is having room to move when I'm working on something under the hood. One thing I wish my Dodge had. Better gas mileage. [:'(]

Hi, Dodgegirl!

Maybe you can help me. I have a 1997 Ram 1500 4X4 with about 140,000 miles on it. Every summer I drive from home (Milwaukee, WI) to a summer retreat in New Hampshire. 1200 miles of freeway driving in two days. Talk about TB.

Anyway, just as I got to New Hampshire, I started hearing a growling coming from underneath me. I was going about 10 mph on a slight uphill grade. As soon as I let off the gas, the noise stopped.

Just before I embarked on this journey, I had my 5star dealer change the oil and check it out before travelling. They discovered a leak in the transfer case seal. So after a lot of money, they fixed it. Now I have this noise.

I don't want my beloved truck to cough and die on the NY state thruway. Not while traveling with 2 cats and 2 dogs in August.

So, as a newbie to the Dodge Forum, I look to you to help me find the solution (or find the person who can lead me to a solution).

Thanks for the warm greating.

Hi, just found this thread.
I'm from the small island behind the big pond -> England.
Until now I had a Subaru Impreza and now looking for the possibility to import the Charger (a bit of challenge).

So just to say hello.
