RE: If Your A Newbie, Post And Int
Hey Everyone!
I thought I'd post here since this is the newbie area, and well... I'm a newbie here!
Although currently Dodge-less, I have owned several in the past and will very soon again. Past rides have included a 1978 Diplomat 2dr coupe (originally 318-2, swapped in 451-4 ), 1981 Mirada (360-4), 1980 Caravelle (225-2), 1987 Fifth Ave (318-2).
As a mechanic I 've helped several friends with the restoration/modification of many old Mopars and enjoy doing show quality work.
I guess that's it for now.
Jeff

Hi everyone. New to the forum and actually new to Dodge trucks also. First ever Dodge truck for me. No Hemi, but I scored a sweet deal on a new '04 recently. Or at least I think I did.
Anyways, it's an:
'04 Ram 1500 Quad Cab (white)
4.7L V8
4x4
Laramie H package
Pretty much loaded with all the "bling" stuff. (20" wheels, heated seats, sport appearance, hood protector, trailer tow, blah, blah... okay so trailer tow is not bling.)
It was the last '04 on the lot. Only 20 miles on it. It was really weird. Like it was haunted or something. No one wanted it. Looks like barely anyone even test drove it.
Didn't really want all the bling, but the saleslady told me they'd sell it for $29,560. And that's the out-the-door price. Tax, fees, and an extended max care warranty included (another 7/70 after the original 3/36 bumper-bumper warranty runs out).
So what do you think? Did I practically steal this off the lot? Or did they just sweet talk me into thinking I got a good deal, by overquoting the '05s, just so they could get rid of the one remaining '04?
