At the top of the page to the right, it says "Make A Donation". Click that. Welcome to the forums!

Uh, hello... I'm Brian. Long time Dodge lover. First time poster. Sorry, just felt like some sort of AA meeting.

Anyhoos, I've been watching alot of Overhaulin' and other programs of the like on Speed. And I have been seriously bitten by the bug to redo my 99 Dakota and make it a work of art. There's only one problem. I don't have what you call the mechanic/custom skeels. Anyone recommend a good place to start learning some of this stuff?

hey brian, well there are a number of schools that can teach you auto mechanics and all that. I went to the Des Moines Area Community Collge here in Des Moines, Iowa. they have a program called the Chrysler-CAP. which is a chrysler funded program, you recieve a 2yr(AAS degree) and learn alot about chryslers, that may be the way you want to go. or theres UTI but i heard for what you learn, it costs too much money, but thats people opinoin.

Aloha to all.
How is everyone? I'm Hayden De Land akaDaHipaKea1313, thats a Ram/malesheep in Hawaiian I'm in the U.S.Army and I've been in for 18+ years and presently in Baghdad/Iraq. I guess I should have posted when I signed up for DF. I'm part Hawaiian on my moms side, shes a Big Island girl. Dads from New York where I actually grew up in Syracuse, but we traveled alot to Hawaii and all of my relitives on my Moms side still live there. I was stationed there with my wife and daughter for 4 years I'm very proud of both my Hawaiian and my NY upbringing. I'm a HUGE Yankees fan as well as the Orange of SU and the NY Gaints
We just got a screeming deal on a Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab and I can't wait to get home to do some mods to it. The new QC has the 4.7 and it puts you deep in the seat, I wanted a Hemi but the deal on this was way too good. I'm planning on the Airaid Intake, Throttle body spacer and a new Gibson Exhaust system. I've posted a few questions but havn't seen any replies yet, so please check them out and send some my way. We use to own a 1996 SLT 2500 Ram with a V-10 awsome, powerful and very fast. I did put a K&N and a Gibson system on it and a bed cover that help with less drag and I gained almost 4 miles a gallon during long trips. But we sold it when we need w Dually for our 36 foot 5th wheel. I guess I could have done the dually conversion.

Well Aloha all and stay cool everyone, DaHipaKea-out
