Hello all, newbie here.........
just wanted to say hello and yes Im a newbie, I just inherited my fathers 1989 Dodge Dakota. He passed away at the age of 79, he bought this truck new, and it now has 185,000 miles on it. I think it has a 3.9 liter V-6 in which I will eventually change out to a 318. I just drove this truck home (over 100 miles) without a hitch. It was well taken care of and repainted (factory paint was coming off)years ago, but is in decent shape still. I'll be sticking my nose in here often, real often. I'm an old ford mustang nut but will soon become a Dodge Dakota nut as well 
. I look forward to learning more about these trucks, mopars in general and meeting lots of new friends. Thanks

the truck is dark blue with silver on bottem, not sure of the real color (code that is). Its Automatic and has 185,000 miles on it. Trucks in pretty good shape, my dad was a dodge man all his life. I grew up riding in a 1968 chysler newport with a 383 in it . I still remember how fast it was, my mother and father both drove it that way most of the time. My first car was a gold 1964 dodge dart with slant 6 in it. If it hada been a 2 door I'd probably still have it today 
I'll try to post a few pictures of the truck afterwhile (after I wash it

thanks! yea thats the one for now, I still dont understand why it wont load as an avatar, I mean I have the correct size for the avatar and its tells me sucessfully loaded???
Changed the air filter and will be getting the oil changed after while. Bad part is my truck just died on me when I pulled in the driveway coming back from getting the air filter. It re fired but, has a miss to it. I guess I'll be doing fuel filter and plugs,plug wires, etc this weekend.
