I've seen one homemade turbo system that a guy did, but it wasn't terribly impressive.

well, you can buy a side mount for just about anything..but there are alot of other upgrades you have to do.

well, adding forced induction to a stock motor forces alot more air into it, so it wil run very lean so usually you have to run a higher volume fuel pump, and bigger injectors. you would also need to have your computer modified to accept the new flow of fuel and air. also, while its not essential, you will have more gains if you improve on the exhaust, because all of that intake flow ahs to go somewhere.

wow tahts sounds like alot of work and expenses. how much of a hp gainw ould i get from simply putting in new spark plugs a cold air intake and a new exhaust system.

its hard to say really..depends on how much exhaust work you did. it would also depend on how good the CAI is, and how restrictive your stock intake setup is. as for the plugs...on a normal car, putting expensive plugs in the motor will bring no more than very minor gains.

nickoman01, why do you want that for an engine you don't even have in your car? Are you planning to upgrade to a 3.5L or something?
